I am very pleased with my ReliOn Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor. The band is perfect for my small wrist. I like the quiet operation and the small size and feel that I am getting a good reading. This item was on sale and that was nice but since using it I would have gladly paid full price and thought I had gotten a bargain.
I have a monitor that uses the arm band but I keep getting error messages, probably because I have flab on my upper arm and it is hard to get the band on correctly by myself. But I knew there could be accuracy questions with a wrist monitor so I looked carefully. I liked this one because it has a way to tell you if you have your arm in the correct position. I know this is importance because a friend has a different wrist monitor and gets readings all over the map, none correct. At my first use with this one I was not getting the OK message. Then I re-read the directions, and measured the distance from my chair to the table top. It was only 8" and the directions say 12 plus or minus 2". Moved to another chair and table and now getting the OK message. The down arrow sometimes tells me that I need to lower my arm just a bit to be level with my heart. Readings are consistent and telling me what I needed to know.
I chose this model as it is top rated by Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports also indicated that it is available at Walmart. So, I ordered it online. What could be easier ?
This is an easy to use monitor for those who need to check their pressure between doctor visits. It is very accurate when placed properly on the wrist. The only thing I found difficult to do was to open the case to insert the batteries that were included with the purchase.
My primary care doc requested I ck my blood pressure twice X day. So I picked up one of these wrist pressure meters. It was affordable and works great. And my doc's nurses use it!
My father in law is a diabetic, so he wanted to keep track of his blood pressure also. But it had to be easy to use and easy to read. This honestly saved my mother in laws life. She wanted to see how it worked so my husband did her BP also and it was so high at first we thought it was faulty, but the numbers were high every day for 4 days doing it 2X a day. We took her to the emergancy room and they told her "I am surprised with your blood pressure this high we haven't seen you in here sooner with a stroke."
I really like this monitor. Seems to be spot on with those of medical prof. Only wish it had a case to protect it. Having a case would make it 5 stars.
I recieved this about three weeks ago, so far I am impressed . I prefer the wrist cuff over the arm cuff. This will come in handy with my doctor appointments,to verify my daily readings. This will also reveal any glitches in the rhythm of your heart beat . It is also very easy to use.
We found this monitor to be consistently high in its readings. We calibrated it against an arm cuff and in the doctor's office. It registered higher than both and was not accurate. We will return this item and use only an arm cuff.
I bought this ítem on The advice of consumer reports, the blood results were off by 10%, Walmart returned the amount easily. I compared with two others , do not buy this model
