I have to admit, I was a skeptic when it came to all this 'ionic' and 'reduce frizz' stuff and hair dryers. I mean, how technical can a hair dryer be?? But then again, my last hair dryer was at least 10 years old....I bought this b/c I wanted a compact, powerful hair dryer. And i got just what I wanted. As an added bonus, my very long, naturally curly hair when straightened using this dryer was significantly less frizzy! I could even get away with not using a flattening iron. I won't say that it dried any faster than my old dryer. I also won't say its quiet...But I will say I really appreciate that the hair dryer does not get hot at all. I have a toddler running around that likes to cart my hair dryer thru the house. With this dryer, I don't have to constantly say, "No! Hot!". Only the very tip, the screen where the heat passes got warm. The three heat settings are nice. I'm not big on asthetics so... Overall a great buy (you can't beat the price). For all you other skeptics - it really did cut down on the frizz....who knew!
