It's battery operated and I only need to charge battery once a month, it comes with a charger. Purchased two of these cameras last year and just recently bought another one to add to my collection. Very sensitive picks up on every movement and noise. Can set graph to what areas you want monitored. I have had this camera for over a year, winter and hot summers no issues! This takes up to a 128gb SD card just make sure it's for all temperatures. Also you can use the cloud if you prefer... comes with an antenna and very strong Wi-Fi signal my camera is on the other end of the house from router and still never loses signal. You can also purchase solar panels for these cameras which is really handy. Seller is excellent to deal with it only took two days for shipping. I highly recommended this camera and seller!
Very good for this price. Do not count on any single camera. You need at least four to every 1,000 sq ft of property or land. Works better in harsh weather when mounted under eave.
The camera performs better than expected. I was surprised with the out of the box settings, no false alarms when cars or people walk by on the side walk.
I love that it's powered by a rechargeable battery and it's not bulky! The camera app is free and easy to use. I have a 128GB SD card in both camera's but it also offers the Cloud subscription. Extremely easy to set up. I highly recommend this camera!
(A great camera for locations where an AC outlet is not available.) I installed two of the Argus Eco cameras for monitoring my basements at two houses remotely such as the furnaces and any water on the floor. I did have a problem with one of the cameras connecting to my house Wi-Fi but after contacting tech support to resolve the issue, they sent me a replacement camera arriving in only 2 days. A high quality camera but may not be suitable for extremely cold locations that will "kill" the batteries.
The Reolink Argus Eco rechargeable Outdoor camera is absolutely brilliant. It’s motion sensor is adjustable and comes with a loud siren if activated. No indoor wiring required which is a big plus for me ( hence the reason for my purchase), the night vision is clear and notifications is really good. The battery life is 3/5. Did not go for the solar panel attachment because it was inappropriate for the weather we have (hardly any sun) and ( in my opinion), it gives the visible impression to intruders that it is not a wired camera and can be tampered with. Although it is easy to charge and you can use a mobile usb power bank charger with a long (3m/5m) cable wire attached ( used to charge during the day... takes about 6hrs to approximately charge and the camera can be still be activated during this period). Just remember to remove it once charging is completed. This camera is only suitable for household use not commercial use. It can only be set up through a WiFi connection but can be monitored in any location even through mobile data ( and you can have multiple cameras attached to one account).Priced Very reasonable. Comes with a visible window warning intruder sticker.
No info on the motion range.
Works good in night and day. Only complaint is because the camera goes to sleep you can miss pixs of cars or people. The motion sensor detects them but by the time the camera turns on they are out of range. I bought it mainly to see if my front gate was open or closed so it's good for that.
