We've had this "OTC" unit now for almost 5 years and it's been the best investment ever. The water tastes delicious (like it should) with nothing "metallic" as one gets from the city or well systems. Once our daughter got married, she and her husband ordered one for themselves. I would say, Definitely worth a buy!
Easy and effective. I have the countertop filter and it is so easy to install. Most tap water in the US has cancer causing agents in it— you can check yours online. I'm amazed that you can not only taste, but SEE the results of using this filter. I've attached a photo of the unfiltered water tube vs filtered water thbe and you won't believe your eyes . A little pricey but worth it!
The filter was easy to install. The water is amazing. Before I didn't drink too much water. Now I drink way more. I am very happy. I might not be drinking as much as suggested, but I am very close. It seems that I really enjoy water now. I drink it far more than any other sugary drinks. I am glad. Water does so much good to our body. We have to make an effort. It also saves a ton of money. Bottled water is so expensive. Here in the city of Chicago, you even have a tax water. The bottled water does not taste the same either. I don't want years of accumulation of microscopic plastics going into my body either. I am super happy with this filter. I had another brand before years ago. I am very happy with this filter. I highly recommend it. I have the counter top.
The filters work as you'd expect/want them to. These filters fit perfectly on what I'd say is Aquasana's BEST water filtration system.
Easy to install once I figured out that a socket wrench would easily remove the old filters. A little bit more detail in the directions would have saved me a headache there. The filter itself is a life saver literally here in Maine where PFAS, forever chemicals, are a concern.
Having switched to the Aquasana line of filters a few years ago, I cannot imagine going to any others. For apartment living, where the options of making changes or installing gear are more limited, the countertop AQ-4000 is an excellent solution for better water quality and the budget. When they figure out a way to keep the pressure buildup from making it so difficult to open and replace the "A" side filter, the system will be perfect.

It contained defective filter set, so I couldn't use filtered water right away, but eventually I was able to use it properly, and I'm happy now.
I loved the old countertop filter and sad to know that it's now discontinued and being replaced by another machine. First, the old countertop reserves less counter space whereas the new one will occupy more space and a lot pricier than the old one which I will not be considering as this has the same function. I hope you will be able to offer the old one back.
Even with the extremely harsh water gere at 52776 (Iowa in general has a horrendous Lime situation) Ive been averaging an avg of 80 gals. With the Pure, 3 stage setup onky 7. My main complaint: getting the caps off to change the filters. I ordered and complete unit and had same trouble. A bunch of replacement filters and I can't use them. So I recently ordered the new electric, no hose unit. So far so good Thank you
