We have a huge problem with yellow jackets (and paper wasps) every summer at our house in Oregon. The moment we put these out, we literally see swarms within 30 minutes. It really helps cut down on the population. We catch so many we have to put out new ones because they fill up. So easy to prepare - just add water. We buy them every summer! Will probably try the wasp stick trap this year as well for the paper wasps. This product is a must buy!
Very efficient and effective, it was full. I ce yellow jacket season was over and it dried a bit, it filled again with flies.
We live in California and ordered this trap for (Site-to-Store) Pickup since our local Walmart doesn't stock this item. We followed the instructions on the package and it worked great! We caught well over 300 Yellow Jackets in a short time using just one trap. The Model we received is marked "Model YJTD-W" on the front of the package (just like the one shown in Walmart's advertisement for this item). Based on some research I've done, Rescue also makes at least one other version of this trap which is formulated for use East of the Rockies marked "Model YJTD-E". It is my understanding that this other version does not work well at all West of the Rockies. I recently bought another one at a hardware store that is simply marked "Model YJTD" on the back. For your reference, I included a picture below which you can compare with the excellent version "YJTD-W" sold by Walmart (at least in my region). Note - even the drawings of the Yellow Jackets look different. I'm not sure the one I bought at the hardware store (shown below) will work well West of the Rockies. If you buy one of these traps, be sure to look at the Model you receive. If you live West of the Rockies, I'm confident it will work well if it has the "W" suffix on the model number. I have not tried the Model w/o the "W" suffix yet. See copy of black label with white lettering on both packages below. I would not try one with an "E" suffix for use West of the Rockies. I do not know if Walmart is fully aware of the different versions of this product or if buyers East of the Rockies will automatically be sold the best version for use in their area.
I put one of these up in my yard at the beginning of spring every year to remove any yellow jacket wasps that might be looking to move into our yard. It works great and keeps them from bothering us and the animals. I leave it up all summer and throw it away late fall. I highly recommend these traps. I also like that they're disposable as is.
I bought this about a month ago at Home Depot. I place it about 15ft away from where I have a lot of yellow jacket on my front door. It doesn't work at all
I bought two of these disposable yellow jacket traps because I've had such great success with their fly traps. They have been out nine days and I have not caught a single territorial flying death insect! I live in Utah so I purchased the product stated for use “West of the Rocky Mountains”. It is also the same sold at all of the home and garden centers locally (I checked the small code near the UPC that identifies it). Super disappointing!

I purchased these traps last year and they worked wonderfully. The wasps are out again this spring, so I purchased three more of these traps. They have been up a week and not one wasp is in any of the traps. I'm wondering if I got last year‘s supply and whatever it is that attracts the wasp is no longer powerful.
I bought two of these and placed them in separate areas of activity. These must be complete duds because not one yellow jacket has been caught! Very disappointed with this product and will be contacting Walmart for a refund. I've bought Rescue Yellowjacket traps in the past and they worked well but these two are complete duds.
Purchased the 12 pack and only received one! Should have read the reviews first, seems like that's a common issue
