[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great phone but starting to show its age - looking to move to the next gen Z phones.
I have always been a fan of Samsung. The quality of their products and design of them are always amazing. They have stood behind their products and services for as long as I have been a customer. I will continue to be a loyal customer as well, keep up the great service Samsung, thank you!
With the Galaxy S6, what you're getting is a premium phone for a premium price. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Best screen, quickest processor, and an amazing camera, plus a nice set of additional features, such as fast charging, wireless charging, ultra power saver, a fingerprint sensor, and a few others. In a world where most smartphones are very similar, it's nice to be able to enjoy the little things the S6 provides.
Overall this is a great phone. The screen display is like looking at a HD tv on this phone and the photos it will take are simply amazing. The battery life so far has been as good as any phone I've had and considering the amount of apps and daily use it holds up well. A real bonus for the phone is the wireless charging which I believe will greatly extend the life of the changing port on the phone. The only things that I would change would be having front facing speakers for watching videos and also being able to add additional storage with a mini card.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had apple everything and when this phone came out I decided to try it mostly because of the camera. It took a week to adjust and personalize it but I ebbed up buying all the comparable products because once you get it set up and learn the functions it's soooooo much easier and versatile. You can do way more personalized things hide more from plain sight. It has everything iPhone does except the "like and love" in texting. Which I do miss. No face time but there are so many video chat options anyways. The watch works better than apple. Even the galaxy pad is better. It's just way easier to use then. I even got 6 people to change when I showed them my phone. Key is watch the tutorials on you tube. The photos it takes are amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this phone a year ago and love it! Takes beautiful pictures and never give me problems. I definitely recommend this phone..
I had been waiting for my upgrade and I finally took the plunge into the S6. I have to say, it was the best decision I could have made! The S6 is incredible from its screen clarity and resolution to the battery life and the overall performance is nothing short of amazing. The recharging time of the phone is amazing as well with it going from 25% to 90% in under an hour. Overall I would suggest this phone to anyone who wants a terrific piece of technology that will give you everything you need and more.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2 years ago and... It's amazing!! You should buy a similar cellphone
I am a creature of habbit! I don't like change. I have had my Samsung Galaxy S3 until this week, but it finally bit the dust. I must admit, I love my Galaxy S6 even more that I thought I would.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had an iPhone for a couple years now and was happy to move back to Android. I love how customizable the galaxy is in terms of using your apps on the phone. The battery life on my galaxy 22 is about 2/3 of the battery life on my iPhone 11, though. Some of my apps, especially Amazon, are glitchier on my galaxy... taking a long time to load, or not loading at all, randomly refreshing to the home screen. I find the sideways swiping to go back supremely annoying as many of the apps I use have sideways swiping to scroll. So while I'm trying to move forward through a web page or application my phone keeps loading the last page I was on, which results in having to be ultra careful in how I move my finger on the screen... and as I mentioned - freedom is one of my primary preferences for android. So it's annoying. The messaging interface (specifically being able to pin important people's face bubbles at the top of the app) is definitely better on iPhone. My biggest disappointment with the galaxy - I only yesterday discovered is the low picture quality on an overcast afternoon. I'll attach photos to demonstrate the beauty of a blue afternoon compared to a gray one. I had hoped the quality would be comparable to real life, but it wasn't close. This is a stark contrast to the iPhone where I got beautiful winter pictures. However, on that same cloudy day I was amazed by the quality of the selfie front camera. Disclaimer: I have not played with the camera app to see if there's some different setting I should be using on gray days. I also didn't use a filter on the selfie - just opened the camera app and clicked. I have some relearning still to do with the galaxy in adjusting back from the iPhone. There's definitely some pros and cons.
