I was skeptical as it is a refurbished product. But I thought it's from Wal-Mart, I can easily return if it doesn't work. So I took a chance. It shipped quickly and came in a white refurbished Samsung box. The tablet itself looks brand-new w/no scratch whatsoever on it. There's a small stickers in the back of the tablet that said refurbished and stated "for the service calls XXXX". The stickers can be peeled off, if you want to. The red color of the Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 is stunning. I'm not a fan of red, but this red is on a dark side, not too bright, not too dark, just right for me; and I'm loving it. I got it about a week ago, and have been using it every day (for several hours a day) as I want to make sure it works properly (I can return w/n 15 days). So far so good. I haven't found any flaws (yet). I am not a tech savvy at all (I don't even own a smart phone). This is my first tablet and it is very easy to maneuver. I've already uploaded several apps on it w/o having to read a manual. The battery life is good. I charged it over night, and it lasts a whole day (I didn't watch the movie though). I've already took several pictures and email them to a friend. The camera works great and the picture uploaded quickly. So far l am happy w/this purchase, unless I find some flaws in the next week. It's a great little machine that can do so much!
I purchased this tablet so I can stay connected while traveling. I wanted the convenience of something lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to use. I purchased a keyboard with case and I was able to use it like a laptop but without the associated back pain of carrying a laptop. It was very easy to use right out of the box. I have only had the tablet for about two weeks at the time of this review but it seems to meet my needs completely and I am 100% satisfied.
Just what I wanted and in the color I love. Responds fast and easy to use. Downloaded games and they work great. When playing videos from Netflix the video shutters, don't know how to fix. I have uninstalled then re-installed Netflix, still same issue. That is the only negative I have at this time.
This is perfect for traveling. I recommend buying a stylus (also available at Wal Mart) because otherwise it is very easy to hit the wrong thing. Also, the product is very slippery, very easy to drop, so I bought a case and Velcro'd it to the case.
I purchased this as a back up tablet for my non-verbal 7 year old son in case his iPad ever got damaged again. It is great. He has an iPad 2 & this tablet is so much easier for him to hold & carry around with him when we go out to places. It's a lot more convenient easy to slip into my purse the screen resolution is great for what he uses it for. He has a couple installed as well & it runs them just fine. I'm thrilled with my purchase & so is my son.
It came in new conditions, is light weight and the image is perfect, the only thing I don't like is the small memory it has but it can be fix with an sd card with larger gb, a little advice, if you are planning on buying one add on the walmart warranty, it would cost you a little more but is better than having to buy a new one if for any reason yours get damage ;-)
Was reluctant to purchase a refurbished item....but then I realized the 90 warranty applied to a new one or refurbished .... so why not....I am very pleased with my purchase...and for free shipping picking it up at Walmart was a breeze...
This is my first tablet. I have an android phone, running the same OS (Jelly Bean) and using the tablet is like a bigger, more convenient version of my phone. I just have to remember this tablet only connects to the net via WiFi, not over a data plan, but for most things that is fine. I use it as an e-book reader too - both major readers have apps for the Galaxy Tab 2, so much easier than using my phone. I do like the option to use the on-screen keyboard or the blue tooth keyboard - all depends how much typing I need to do. Love my Galaxy Tab!
I bought one of these for myself and one for my mother. Everything is great about this tablet except for the storage capacity. Even though it is expandable to 32GB with an external (separate purchase) micro-SD card, I have learned that the Android o/s Jelly Bean 4.1 which is installed on this tablet does not allow configuration changes to allow apps to be stored on the micro-SD card. This, along with the fact that there are several pre-installed apps that cannot be deleted from memory, means there is only about 4GB out of the 8GB available for apps. Because of this I am going to return mine and get something with either more internal memory or a different operating system (a version prior to Jelly Bean?) that will allow me to store apps on the external memory.
Bought the referb to save some money. Worked great for about 3 hours, then it stopped recognizing the charger. I have been battling with different bad tablets for months by now so I returned it & got a new (non-referb) and it has been working great. I would say that there's a chance that I just had some bad luck & may have just received a bad one, but I would suggest just buying a new one.
