I have been using the tablet for about three months and have been extremely impressed with the performance. It is very fast and the display is amazing. Really love watching movies on it. The sound is also very good even using the speakers on the sides. The only issue is not having an HDMI out to hookup to a TV.
I ordered a new Kindle but then research other devices which are available. I'd seen a friend's iPad2 which was very smart, but I wanted Flash and Android. I'm sending the Kindle back. The performance is tremendous. I have a top of the line Android phone and wanted to be able to use the same apps. The features it has continue to surprise me, it's not a toy for reading books, it's a VOIP phone a video camera and a computer. I would have liked to be able to connect to peripherals by USB or HDMI without having to buy an adapter, and expandable memory would have been useful. It's difficult to use like a Kindle if I'm lying in bed, because you tend to touch the screen, and turn pages, when trying to hold it. But overall I'm ecstatic.
Everything about this product is top notch, all fantastic except lack of ports. One accessory is required from Samsung that can be attached to the only port (32 pin port) to create 2 USB, i small USB, 1 HDMI and 1 port to charge to resolve the lack of port issue and allow it to charge if you are watching a movie on TV thru HDMI port. One accessory that has all these ports
The 10.1 is very fast, has a bright beautiful screen, fantastic stereo speakers, and takes amazing pictures and videos. Wish it had USB port, but I added Filezilla FTP client and can get files to laptop that way. More tablet Apps will help too. Basically, Samsung got it right!
OVER ALL NICE DEVICE AND TOO FAST AND FRIENDLY USER
As Droid smartphone owner I knew an Android powered tablet would be the system I would want to own. I have never been impressed with apple products, but the Ipad2 is a nice system. Until the galaxy tablet came out. Android operating systems are going to continue to grow while Apple sits with the heads in their hands. I recommend this tablet and any up and coming Android based tablet. Dont be left in the dust using your IOs. Be powered by Android and look to the future.
My wife gave me my tablet as a birthday gift and I haven't stopped using it yet. I've read over 2,000 news articles. I've enjoyed the tablet more than I expected I would and customizing it is easy. Accessories options are growing.
I bought the Galaxy Tab 10.1 32GB about three months ago and have not been disappointed. It fits my every need. The long battery life is a very big plus. The screen display is excellent and touch sensitivity is good. The built-in speakers along the side are clear and loud enough for a small room. If you're in the market for a new tablet and you want the thinnest, sexiest Android tablet available today you need to do yourself a favor and jump on it. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 itself is a beautiful and thin tablet with an industrial design to die for. Cons I'm only able to charge the Galaxy Tab 10.1 using the supplied Charger. This device will not charge from any USB charger plugged into the mains. It also lacks an SD card.
I never though the day would come when I would not have a work bag that weighed a ton because of the technology I was hauling around with me (i.e., traditional laptop and power adapter). Then along come the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - my laptop has bitten the dust. I using it for e-mail, presentations, web-surfing, Skype and watching movies (even Netflix) - basically everything. Even stands on the kitchen counter to provide instant access to recipes. All in all - probably the best investment I have made in personal technology since my first Palm Pilot back in the 90's. The only disappointment is that the built in speakers are not very good - but - what do you expect for a device that's this thin and light. Great product - true game changer.
I was really impressed with this item. It came in a basic box nothing fancy. It was very easy to set up and I was using it in minutes. Have had no technical issues so far.
