I have been removing trees and a few limbs here and there on a 2 acre lot. This product gives me another alternative to burning (hate) and having to haul off debris ( no truck and it costs money). I can now make mulch for my garden!! (saves me money) To cool. I cant believe the way it turns piles of limbs taller than me into a small pile of mulch. It has jammed up a few times (old previously trimmed hardwood limbs that had dried out), but i just simply turn it off, pull out the limb and turn back on and re-feed.
This chipper/shredder is great for turning brush into mulch. Bigger branches, 1 1/2" or less, were no problem. I do have one hardwood tree that I found 1" is max, but getting it unstuck and back to chipping was no problem. I am very glad I got it; and for the future, the replacement blades are inexpensive and easy to change.
This product is very easy to handle because it's relatively light weight so it's very easy to move around it has good power the only thing that I don't like it is has a very small feeding shout so it's a little hard to move material through it
Not the engulf-and-devour everything I wish for, but good for making a wood mulch I then won't have to buy. Advice: let your fresh branches dry well, and them feed them in one at a time, as straight-up as possible. I tried freshly trimmed shrub branches and wisteria vines--they went through, but not without some coaxing.
