Second time buying this Hair Dryer. First one lasted about 5 years. Wife %26 daughter have thick hair and really put it through the ringer.
I purchased this brand and model hair dryer because I had used the same brand and similar model for quite a number of years, and I was extremely satisfied with it. It sounded as though the motor of my old dryer was burning out (on high speed), so I went to purchase another one just like it. This new model also has two blower speeds and temperatures of high, medium, and low; each of the speeds can be used on each of the temperatures. The cover of the lint trap is easy to remove for periodic cleaning (just to get accumulated lint removed). The dryer is light weight and easy to hold. Actually, though, I prefer the shape of the handle of my old dryer, but this one is fine. Another plus was that this dryer happened to be on sale when I bought it; however, even if it had not been on sale, I would have purchased it. It is a good value. When the time comes that this dryer finally quits working, I shall look for another Revlon dryer of the same or similar model.
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my wife after R&D to include reading reviews. She had pointed out a cheaper model in store, but it did not have the features of her old one. She was very happy with following the maiden voyage and especially remarked at how much lighter it was than her old one.
I've been using this model for years. My current one is at least 6-7 yrs. old and still works just fine, but thought of it finally dying prompted me to get a new one. It's exactly the same - relatively light weight with 2 speeds and 3 temp. settings. The price is right, too.

This is really a pro styler This blow dryer is best of both worlds. HOT and COLD. Variety of controls and ionic switch is really good for fizzy or sliky looks
I've bought this dryer twice before over the past 15 years, it works great. Good strong air flow and dries quickly (even on medium heat setting). I keep re-purchasing this dryer because the ionic ceramic feature consistently prevents heat damage to my hair; there is a noticeable difference in my hair from times where I used other dryers (it was frizzier and a little fried-looking). I also like the attachments it comes with. The dryer was actually black and silver instead of the blue in the picture but I don't really care one way or the other about the color.
I have long, thin hair and my hubs has short thick hair. This dryer has all the bells and whistles. Ionic, ceramic, 1875 watts, 3 heat and 2 speed settings, cold shot and diffusser and concentrator. It just doesn't dry fast enough. I guess what makes the dryer so quiet is no strength in the blower. The fan does not blow the air out with force the my old Conair did. With my old dryer, my hair went from wet to out the door in 7 minutes. This dryer took between 20 & 25 minutes to do the same thing. Overall, its just ok. The price is good for what I got. On a scale of good..better..best, I rate this 'better' Unfortunatly, I am taking it back and will be getting the 'best'.
not as good as older version of the appears to be-- same EXACT model Revlon hair dryer, it has a funny, not good smell when Ions are released with the switch or changing temps, my old one the ions had a pleasant smell, and there's a kink in the cord, HIGH blower setting is not as strong as old model either, usable but disappointed it's not as good as it used to be... oh well. I'd return it, but not worth the effort. §:(
I bought this dryer because of the watts and the ionic feature. While it does blow a nice amount of air compared to some other brands I've tried, you will ultimately be throwing your money away because it will surely die around the 1 year mark or sooner. I bought this same dryer twice thinking the first time it died was a fluke. The 2nd time, I had the same results... First I noticed the dryer progressively got louder and louder over time. It did this with both dryers. Since I thought the first purchase was my error, I was sure to clean out the lint part routinely to ensure I don't burn out the motor..no difference. Then I started smelling a burning smell and finally I decided I couldn't take the smell and the horribly loud noise and decided to go with another brand.
