I love the style and it is easy to use. The panini additions is a must have. My sandwich comes out perfectly cooked.
This toaster is so fun! Never in a million years did I think I would spend so much on a toaster, but I truly enjoy using it every morning. If you like gadgets, you'll love this toaster.
Overall, I honestly think the Revolution R270 is an excellent toaster. I was on the fence about buying one for well over a year and I watched endless YouTube reviews and read dozens of articles before I finally bought one. To me, the bulk of the reviews I read were pretty similar "It does the job of a toaster for a lot more money." Eh, I don't really agree with that. If you spend $400 on a toaster, you need to know what you're getting. I was tired of moving my old 4-slice toaster back and forth from the pantry to the counter because I didn't want to leave it out due to it being way too big and pretty ugly looking. I also hated when the toast popped up and would scare me every time with what sounded like an old boxing ring bell. I was also tired of guessing where the dial was set and if it moved from the last time I had it set. First world problems, yes, but I was ready to move on to something a bit more modern. Plus, I loved the tech and look of the Revolution. If you put a screen in something, you already have my attention. I've been using the Revolution R270 for a few weeks now and I love that I can leave it out on the counter because it's small and great to look at. I love the customization options in the settings menu of being able to select what to show and not show based on the items I use. I've already used it for waffles, bagels, English muffins, wheat toast and white toast. It handled them all without an issue and the toast level is perfect for me when set to '2'. Anything above that is a bit too dark for me. I also love the classy way the toast is slowly "popped" back up with a tone announces it's done; no more scaring me before coffee with the loud "CLANG" of the old toaster. It's a lot of cash for a toaster, but if you're reading this review then you must be sick of your current toaster and are ready to move on to something new. Give the R270 a shot - just be sure you buy it for what it is and not what you think it should be and I doubt you'll be disappointed. Happy toasting!
Feel like a pro with this toaster perfect cooking easy to clean and a lot of options
I originally purchased the sandwich press as a solo item. Later, after reading the reviews on the Revolution R270 I purchased it as a bundle with both the press and the warming rack. Honestly, it is the best toaster I have ever owned. I do recommend this toaster to my friends and family. Worth the price of admission.
I love the toaster. It's a great conversation piece in the kitchen and is super convenient when you use different bread types in a multi person home. It also has my toast tasting better than our old conventional toaster. My only let down is that the pannini make accessory is not big enough for pannini type bread, so it can't close all the way because the sandwich is too thick. I initially bought it for the pannini function so I was sad.
This toaster is excellent in that it makes the tastiest toast I have had. That said I have never had my home made bread brown to the same level on the picture (less enhancers like sugar etc I think). However as with ANY toaster I want a setting and once I find it I stick with it so I am fine. I do wish they would add more menus to the toaster so all the options were available without changing the menus. I also wish you could get updates (make it wifi) and I wish it would have a touch up setting to add more of "heating, browing or crisping" as needed. Excellent 4+ out of 5 tweak it for a 5+!!
Pricey but a good product. Getting used to the different settings takes awhile just like any other cooking device. We mostly use it for bagels. Not cooking the bagel equally on both sides like older toasters is a bonus; improves the taste of bagels.
The toaster is good but there seems to be an issue with my toaster where when I use regular sliced bread the bottom 1/8th of te bread is not toasted so I have to turn it upside down and toast for a short time to get that part of the toast toasted, which then gives me an issue with the upper half being over toasted.
I think my old basic toaster worked better. This toaster looks great and has lots of technology but I cannot toast a frozen bagel and have it come out edible. It is completely frozen inside. If you keep toasting it, it eventually burns before the inside is defrosted. I am disappointed especially given the price.
