Bought this vac not for this reason and used it to vac my ducts overhead in the house. Had to get another flex hose. I got the bags that go inside the vac to save the filter. This is Smaller and more portable than my shopvac brand i had
++ Got this for Christmas ++its another great rigid tool /product I have + #1 quality ! ++ they need to work on design of accessory storage area though- items dont fit like I wish they would. There should be a different guide molded in for attachments to slide on ..
I bought the ridgid wd4070 and vt2534 last month. I'm planning to use this for auto detailing. The vacuum is very easy to use, portable and powerful. So far i been using it as our home vacuum and it was excellent. Dimensions is just enough for me so i can easily maneuver around. I add a detailing kit for more detailed jobs. Also i like the longer flexible hose.
I have been using the 4 gal vacuum with sanders and a battery powered planner. I am trying to finish new doors for my house and the honey do list keeps adding to my already long list of chores. Luckily, vacuuming up wood shavings from the handheld planner and the sanders isn't apart of that list. I do wish that I could find vacuum adapters so I would have to hold the hose onto the tool while working.
This is the fifth one that I have purchased. I bought three for my business in Ft. Lauderdale, and gave one to my flooring specialist. I also purchased one for my personal use. My condo's flooring is primarily vinyl, and the expensive vacuum I purchased, could not compete with the performance of my RIDGID wet/dry vacuum. I also bought the nozzle with a light.
I picked up the Rigid WD4070 (4 gal w/d) when I had to install a new cooler and do some roof repairs as well. It performed like a tank, sucking debris, cleaning site, cleaning the ductwork. Every task I threw at it, it nailed it. Perfect size - not too big to get up to the roof, and small enough to set on top of a perch to do a great job cleaning out the duct when forcing air from roof with a yard blower. Since, I've used it around the house, to clean the vehicles, and clean up from some woodworking. A great little shop vac that really punches above its class.
The 7 foot Hose kinked from the first use. Now, everytime I use it, it folds over at kink and I always have to adjust the vacuum so it straightens out. The kink weakened the hose.
This vac is small and powerful. I am using the tank bags and appreciate the simplicity of removing the bags when full with out any mess. I added the auto detailing kit which is nice too. The only reason for 4 stars, and not five, is it would be great if the unit had a better/larger mechanism for storing the attachments. Again, I am happy with the vac and would recommend it to others.
I bought this shop vac in combo with the car vacuum hose kit. Good combo for the price. Nice compact unit with strong suction. Mainly intending to use it for dust collection when woodworking, using a separate hose kit to connect it to the tools. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because one of the rear plastic wheels was broken when I opened the box. I exchanged the unit for a different one but the wheels seem cheaply made.
4 Gallon Portable Wet/Dry Vac because it is small I use it to clean up sawdust and small construction debris One has to wonder why they put the intake and exhaust on the same side The exhaust blows out where one is trying to clean up saw dust it gets blown around by the exhaust.
