[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using for a month now and never missed a motion , though it runs on D battery I believe in ring products as all my ring products live up to the expectation. Battery life is supposed to be almost an year based on usage. Motion detection is seamless and very accurate. Paired and Connected to Alexa which helps notification immediately across the house. Installation was easier than expected. light is very bright with a wide coverage for better visibility.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ring Smart Lighting Floodlight is easy to mount. Just take the bracket and use the included screws to attach to your chosen area. Once the mont is up, you can slide the light on and off. The light is black and has two bright led lights. It runs off four D batteries which could get expensive after a while. The lights and motion sensor are adjustable to aim where needed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to add a light to the side of my house and the installation was super fast and easy. It takes 4 D batteries that it doesn't come with. The only downside is if you want to fully integrate it with your other ring products and have full control you will need a ring gateway.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try my Ring Smart Lighting Floodlight. It is battery operated and it was pretty easy to setup. The instructions are simple to follow. I was able to drill holes and attach it to a high post in the backyard. The Ring Bridge is needed in order to use the app to link lights together or to link it to other Ring devices. However, this flood light works on it's own without using the app or having the Bridge. I like the look of the device, how easy it is to install, and that it does turn on and off consistantly when there is motion. It picks up movement instantly. The main issue and biggest disappointment about the product is the brightness level and the reach of the light. It really is not bright enough. It will illuminate the yard immediately in front of the light and extends several feet outward, but it does not shine that bright. And it does not provide that great of coverage overall. I have other brand security lights that were more affordable that work much better than this one. I would not necessarily recommend it unless you have a smaller area to light up and you don't want it overly bright. This light is fair at best.
