Hoping it helps with the ice dams. With the change in our winters . We got freezing rain which iced up the roof. So I RM-655 ice dam melter to help break the dams up.
Just what I need. I have a high roof, slanted and gets ice build up in one particular area. This should so the trick. Price was less at Walmart than anywhere else
This works fast and is reliable. I make sure I have this every Winter.
cane fully entacted. nit many broken off. after a bug storm and with a flatter type roof this expedited the sniw and ice ti melt making sure i wont have damage to tm roof and gutter systems.
These do a nice job of opening up roof valleys to begin the thawing process and lessening the amount of ice.
It arrived timely and safely packaged, and I'm sure it will do the job when put to use. Unfortunately, many of the "pucks" where kind of obliterated and turned it to powder. At some point they may be useful on my pavement or in my yard, but will never be able to use it on my roof because it will be impossible to toss it up there.
Here's what I got in my bucket: 33 full pucks. The rest was small pieces (1 1/4 quart bags) %26 powder (1 1/2 quart bags). My experience with this product is that it works if the ice dams aren't too thick. And if you have a very steep roof, chances are they're going to roll off the roof instead of staying on the ice. You'll probably end up on the ladder anyway so you can place them properly.
didn't melt the ice on my roof except for a puck size spot
It doesn't work. Perhaps if the tablets were placed on the edge of the roof before any snow accumulated it might work. Otherwise this product is a waste of time and money.
I want a refund these 60 pucks were more like dust when I received them
