better than a rebuild

I have one of those stupid new cars that if you remove the stereo the air bags and abs system stops working, and the car had no auxiliery plug. I bought the product plugged it in to the 12v outlet and chose a station on the low end of the radio and it works great, out on the open highway, even when I have to go into the city as well.

Bought this item a couple weeks ago. Love it. Paired it up to an 8G flash drive. Both work as expected. I drive for a living, so I loaded it up with audiobooks. 7 books, 45+ hours listening time and the drive is only a little over half full. Static? Just find a clear channel and listen away. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpencive MP3 player for thr car.

Works as advertised, no issues with sound quality. This is using the included cable with a Sansa MP3 player.

I drive the interstate and in town. I use the modulator at the lower end on 87.7 and it works great. I use it with a mp3 player. It sure beats listening to radio, satellite or terrestrial. I get to listen to what I want to hear, not what some radio programmer thinks I want to hear.

This is basically a cheap solution to placing an MP3 player/alternative audio device player in your car. Static is minimal, it's like broadcasting your own FM station (not HD radio FM) except without commercials. The features are awesome. It comes with a remote, (possibly so the people in the back seat can control the radio) I've never used it. It also has USB port for flash drives which is handy, and it has a headphone like jack just in case you want to connect your ipod. If you follow the guidelines and advice found in the manual, problems will be minimal if but not non-existent.

For the price, I got exactly what I needed. A great alternative to those expensive name brand Transmitters. Easy to use, comes with a handy remote and cable that connects directly to the headphone jack of any electronic device! Plug-N-Play!

I use this to listen to various talks and books in MP3 format. Quality is good (haven't used it for music yet). I wish it had a search/seek feature, I have only been able to get it to skip to the next mp3. I have had to play with it a couple of times (unplug it, plug it back in, change radio station, etc.) to get it going initially (like another reviewer mentioned it can take awhile to load and you aren't sure what it's doing), but overall it works well. For $30, I think it's a great deal.

I bought this to fill a temporary need: Be able to listen to my mp3 audio books while waiting for the aftermarket stereo adapter I needed to install install my Pioneer DEH-MP6800 head unit w/mp3 USB capability. You must copy mp3 files to the USB flash drive in the order in which you want the hear them. Really important to listing to audiobooks! I use XCOPY in the Windows command prompt to do this. You will need to use /S swith if you have sub-directories. In the end, it works well for what I bought it for. Very basic, but it works.

i've had this product for a while now and it has the same problems i've had since i got it. This system is only meant to take so much heat from being in the 12 volt adapter, because if i have it for more than 30 minutes it stops working and is super hot. i have to wait till it cools down to use it again and yet it does the same process over and over. its an okay machine, they just needs to solve that problem and try to add more features to it as well.

For the most part this worked passably, some static no matter which frequency I used. In all fairness, I live fairly close to a big city. The major discouraging point was the fact that it requires all MP3 music to be at 128 kbps or less. This is not disclosed until after the unit was purchased. This is OK if all the MP3 songs were at the standard, but not all are. All my MP3's were at 160 kbps and did not play well at all. I have far too many to consider converting the back to the 128kbps.
