I'm a mother of 3 kids so I'm not allowed to be sick ever. I've tried so many different cold medications my cabinet in my bathroom is full. It seems so far that this medicine is one that actually gets rid of my cough for a full 12 hours. It starts to work very fast I found if I have food in my stomach. When I had food in my stomach the medicine would start working within 15-30 minutes but if I had an empty stomach it took longer about an hour to start working. I like that it doesn't disgusting it actually has a good grape flavor. My 8 year has even taken it for a few days to help with a horrible cough he had. He was having such a hard time sleeping because he was coughing so much it kept him up and started hurting his throat. I gave him a dose an hour before bed time and he slept like a baby through the night and didn't cough one time. He didn't even complain about the taste he said it taste pretty good. I'm very pleased that there is a medication that will last a full 12 hours so I don't have to miss a day of work over a bad cough. I do wish that the price was cheaper because of the price is the reason why I've never purchased it before hand. When you get a whole household of 5 that's sick and you need to buy cold medications for everyone it gets expensive but I guess if you want the best you have to pay the best. I recently moved to Pennsylvania from Florida, so unfortunately I've been suffering from a head cold due to not being used to the winter weather. I like this Robitussin 12 hour because it tastes ok and no alcohol in it. Alcohol makes it taste stronger (and makes cough meds taste terrible). The grape is a good flavor and it does help to relieve my coughing symptoms when I need it most. It also does not make me sleepy...another good side effect. I love using Robitussin because it makes me feel way better after days of being miserable. I do have the product and i like the grape more. It gives that taste of wanted more but can't cause it is medication . It is like you drinking juice when taken this medication but it does get your sickness. you will be back to normal asap. without even realize you was sick . i always like to get the sickness before it get me. This works great.
First thing I notice was how well the grape flavor was spot on making it easy to take this medicine. As far as cough relief it was ok but did not help till day 4 when I started coughing less. I even let my neighbor use some and she feels the same way I do. Not a product for cough relief for at least 2 people my friend/neighbor and myself both in 40's.
