Received this guitar starter set for Christmas a couple years ago as my first electric guitar. This set is very well equipped for the starter guitarist, it has all you will need to begin to get the feel of an electric guitar. But don't let the price fool you, the quality of this whole set is superior. This guitar and amp have held up very nicely. I do recommend you buy another cord, as the one I received with this tended to cut out if i hit it the wrong way. The only modifications I made to this guitar was putting new strings on it. The finish I got was the red burst, and it looks very good in person. Overall, this is a quality set for a bargain price, with excellent ease of playability, and fun to play for a novice or guitar veteran.
We bought this for our 11-year old son, who has taken a few lessons on banjo, but never guitar. He always loves going to Guitar Center and trying out the electric guitars, so this made a great xmas gift at a very affordable price. He was thrilled that it came with its own amp, and he enjoys playing it. We've been happy with the way it sounds, although we are not guitar experts by any stretch. It's a very nice entry level instrument that will hopefully get a lot of use!

My son has wanted an electric guitar for the longest time, and after searching high and low, we decided to go with this one. He couldn't be happier! It says the color is blue, and we actually found it to be more of a midnight purple, but he loves it none-the-less. We are extremely satisfied!

Bought this at one of my local guitar centers. It was on sale and I figured it would be a good pack to start off with. Mind you when I got mine it was already unboxed and on display, luckily high enough to be out of reach of little hands. All in all the guitar is pretty solid though I noticed that the frets were sticking out of the sides a little, I'm sure a little sandpaper should take care of it. Also the pickups seem to be pretty decent, I prefer the sound of the bridge setting anyway. The amp is good just for practicing; nothing fancy. Though it does seem that my amp seems to cut in and out. The gig bag looks like it'll do the job for now, but I'm sure I'll buy a hard case in the near future I'll just use the stand I bought for now to store it at home. I also suggest buying the protection plan especially if you buy it unboxed, I did and I'm sure it'll come in handy seeing as I'm sure I'll have to replace the amp in the near future.
I was disappointed when I received the item in a deep burgundy when I order the purple burst. Even though we wanted the purple my son was happy with the color so we kept it, other than that one problem the item is a really great value.
It wasn't worth even the sale price. The strap is to small, the pics were soft, the strings weak one broke right away. The box was also damaged when it arrived.
Set was a gift for our grandson. The guitar worked great, but there was no amp in the box. We contacted the company twice by e- mail and never got a response. Our problem is not with the product it is with Music123 which is the co. It was sent from. Our order# 8692025958407 apparently doesn't exist.
