I got this for our pontoon boat. My parents and my dog are getting older and it's difficult to take that big step off the boat onto the beach. It's easy to step up and take down. No extra tools needed and has made the lake even more enjoyable now that we don't have to worry about anyone hurting themselves getting on or off the boat.
12' x 36" roll-a-ramp is working great. I'm in my fifties and was able to assemble and lay out the ramp by myself. I have also rolled it back up, which is a little harder. I've tried to move it all put together and can't do it alone , but nevertheless it's going to work out fine. It's sturdy and thus far has been fine without the stands for the middle.
This product saved us a lot of money for our industrial building, our existing handicap ramps are to code, but are not quite large enough to get a gurney/ stretcher in the event of an emergency. We saved $6000-$8000 by purchasing the ramp to roll out in emergency situations over the stairs. Its light enough and easy enough to install quickly especially with 2 people. Thank you discount ramps!!!
Quality product! Well designed and fabricated. Best to use gloves when handling ramp inner edges though tapered are sharp. Hold ramp on outside edges and watch not to pinch fingers when unfurling. Ramp works great when set up setting up 10ft. Ramp Can be a challenge shorter lengths are more easily handled. For my use as a wheelchair ramp I plan to split the ramp into 2 sections joined together with temporary push pins special ordered from manufacturer. Links can be made to stay locked by adding a 3/8ths washer to joint as shown in user manual.
This was bought for a three step rise in our home. We selected it because there are no installation holes to be drilled and it is easily removed. It also has optional handrails. It is sturdy and adaptable.
Mom uses a walker and the steps getting into the house were a challenge. The ramp allows her to walk up and down with her walker. Saves the strain on us to hold her up and we can walk behind or in front of her and guide her walking.
The building I live in doesn't have ramp access for wheelchairs. This is a great ramp, lightweight and easy to use. My father is disabled and now with the roll away ramp makes our lives easier.
We have had other ramps, heavy or not very stable. This roll away ramp has been awesome. It is super light - and the wheelchair feels very stable on it. It is so light a single person can move it and set it up easily. We use the ramp on many different height levels (never too steep) but it has worked great for us.
Wonderful product! Just as described and does its job! THANK YOU!
I liked the "folding" feature of this ramp, and that is why I selected it. However, because of the expense I picked the 9 ft. minimum recommended length given the rise, but I should have picked 10 or 11 ft. It's a struggle getting the wheelchair up the ramp, and I have to bring my husband down the ramp backwards or else I would lose control of it!
