Practice to move better

I injured my foot and I had to have something to get around. This is one of the best things to get. It is hard to maneuver around corners. So practice makes it easier to move

Great alternative to crutches

This knee scooter is a great alternative to crutches. I feel more secure on this piece of equipment. The scooter is well built and sturdy. The adjustable handle bars and knee rest make for a fairly comfortable ride. If I could fix one thing it would be more padding on the knee rest. All-in-all, its a great scooter for the money.

This Knee Scooter has been a blessing to me. After foot surgery the scooter gave me some mobility back. Only issue I would change is the padding. I had to add a cushion to cover the padding.

Very nice ride

I really like this Roscoe Knee walker. It rides very smoothly with the large rubberized wheels. The balance is really good and the ability to adjust the height of the handlebars and the seat is a major plus. The contour of the split seat adds to comfort. The parking brake is very handy. At first I thought it unnecessary but I quickly learned the importance of it. I have been using the knee walker for two weeks now and I am overall pleased with it. The turns are wide and sometimes I must lift the front to aim it but that is no big deal. This is needed only for sharp turns. The basket is a big plus. It is amazing how much we rely on little things we 'travel' with. The big draw back is the wheel alignment to the handlebars. As stated in another review the front wheels are not aligned with the handlebars. They are off by about an inch which can be/is annoying. When aware of it one can compensate but given the purpose of the walker, to transport injured, hurting people I would think that this could have been corrected at the assembly plant since it plays a crucial role in recovery and has been reviewed by others. I tried to make the adjustment myself but the collapse section prevents me from loosening the bolt enough to move the handlebars into alignment. I am 61 years old and I'm going to see if my 82 year old dad will look at it to see if he can help fix it. This is a nearly perfect knee walker. Roscoe should take action to correct this so that I and others can write that this is the perfect knee walker with a 5 star plus rating. With all of the pluses associated with this walker it shouldn't be too costly to correct it at the source so that Roscoe will be number 1 in my book.

Necessary tool for hands free mobility

Allowed me to get around, even traveling on a flight, easy to fold down flat and open up again, brakes work well. Height adjustment easy. The basket is a nuisance for folding and putting in car. I use a backpack in lue of the basket. Not very good turning radius but I have gotten used to 10 point turns. Wheels good size, feels very steady. Should use in combination with an iWalkfree 2.0 for hands free walking and doing stairs

Knee Scooter Mississippi

it rolls wells on even surfaces. You should be careful when crossing over a bumpy one. The handbrake is a plus. It does not turn well in tight spaces. It has the turn radius of a tricycle. The basket is a great attachment. The padded seat is comfortable for my knee. I've only used it for one week. I'll see if it makes the other 11. I am able to transport it in my SUV with no problem.

I would try a different scooter

This product has served its purpose but isn't great. While well-made it has a TERRIBLE turn radius making it extremely difficult to get around our own house. The wheels are so skinny that they easily tip the scooter over minute cracks in the sidewalk or small rocks the size of a dime and has actually tipped my fiancée over twice. I would but one with wider wheels and better maneuverability. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Knee scooter problems
(3)
Reviewed in the USA on 2017-03-09T16:00:00

The knee scooter did not work for me at all. I am a nearly 70 year old woman who had foot surgery, and the scooter is too hard to maneuver for me. The turning radius makes it very difficult to get around the our home. And the knee pad is very hard - my knee and shin are bruised from balancing on it. I was unable to find any pad that would make it "softer" on my leg.
