this steamer gets the job done
I thought the Rowenta X'Cel Steam Plus was a great product. It's very convenient and easy to use. It comes with 3 steam head attachments (a fabric brush, a steam cover to prevent water drips and a creas attachment) and also comes with a convenient door hook to hang your garments. It heats up very fast and removes wrinkles fairly quickly. It was a little on the heavy side for me but I think that is to be expected with a full water tank and such a well made design. I think this would also be a great product to use on curtains and great for taking on trips since no ironing board is needed. I would definitely recommend the Rowenta X'Cel Plus Garment Steamer.
The Rowenta X'cel steam + garment steamer has helped out so much in my household since I recieved it. My daughters ROTC uniform has never looked as wrinkle free as it does now, my photography Backdrops are perfect and now I do not stress out about folding them to store them when they are not in use because the Rowenta Steamer is so incredibly easy to use and it get any and all wrinkle and fold lines out in a matter of minutes. It is also so lightweight and small that it is easy to store and does not take up much room at all. I have already recommended it to all the ROTC parents and know of 3 families that have purchased one for themselves.
The product is heavy and bulky; I can't seem to find any picutures or information on how to use the crease maker accessory. so far I have not figured out an easy way to make creases; it is very awkward when using this accessory;
My third time using my steamer it was not working. Read the manual double checked everything and still nothing. Would definitely not recommend.
I just want to know how to get my very nice, thought I was getting top of the line, barely-used xcel steamer to work! I have not let water sit in it so it should not be unable to produce steam. That's all this machine is supposed to do. And gone are the days of finding a repair shop who would be able to fix this thing within 500 miles. I do not want to have to throw my Rowenta steamer in a landfill.
Steamer doesn't work, it makes a sound but steam never comes doesn't discharge. The product is poorly manufactured and based on the reviews, it should be discontinued. All customers who purchased steamer should be given a gift certificate for the current price.
Bought this steamer about a year ago to replace another (cheaper) steamer I had for years. Was disappointed from first use, but kept it anyway. Rarely used because it takes forever to steam wrinkles out of basic t-shirts, dress blouse, etc. Always dripped water. Used maybe 25 times and now poduct doesn't even get hot and steam, simply just comes on and drips water. Thought I was upgrading but will go back to cheaper brand that worked!
I brought this steamer home and it would not work , the pump would not prime. they should test them at the factory, Also the water tank was a little loose. sloppy quality control if there is any.
Rowenta tends to be a better than average brand for steamers. .However this one was was a lost cause right out of the box. Would not produce ANY steam. Have returned it.
