Works great! Just as described on website.
Too many times I have had to open envelopes (junk mail) and separate in small stacks to shred. This shredder is fast, efficient and seems to handle much more paper than previous shredders.
It works great. I like that I can shred for up to 40 minutes before taking a break.
Order was shipped quickly, faster than expected, a bit heavier than my old one but no doubt because of being better constructed. One thing is certain, it is much quieter than my old one, has different slots for small items like credit cards, envelopes, and another slot for larger papers. Comes with casters already installed, much easier to relocate if necessary.
Works great. Fairly quiet.
It is really nice to be able to shred and not worry about it jamming. If you have heavy duty shredding, this is a great shredder.
I purchased QTY 2 Royal 1840MX. One for my home and one for a Christmas gift. This shredder is by far better than my old Royal which was smaller in size, very loud, and lasted many years. I bought this model because the motor is twice the size, has a built-in fan to keep it from shutting down during high use, has a much larger wastebasket, and can handle more pages at a time without jamming. So far it works like a dream and much quieter too. It is an eating machine and no need to oil unless you do not use it for an extended period of time according to Royal repair center, whom I called to gather information before purchasing. Also has a 5 year cutter blade and motor warranty. The front feeder is not a problem and works great. Although this unit is larger than my first Royal mentioned above, it still fits in the same location and is not at all bulky. I hope to have this unit for many years.
Very easy to shred a large pile of documents. With a capacity of 10-15 sheets at a time the pile did no last long . Two years of documents shredded are now the problem of the garbage man!!!
This shredder much better than my old shredder. The bin has a much larger capacity, the shredder shreds a lot more sheets at one time than my old shredder did.
This is a great shredder, but it is heavy and difficult to move from room to room. I wished it had handles on the side.
