The Royal postal scale, which is battery operated, is easy to use with just a couple of simple steps. It comes with a detailed, helpful chart of current postage rates. Being small, attractive, and sleek, it takes up very little space. It meets my home and business needs for fairly lightweight mail.
We've used this model of Postal Scale for years and it never failed. When I retired, my son got it to carry on the business. So we bought another one from Walmart. Highly recommend it.
This is a great postal scale. I would not buy it from Wal-Mart on-line as it arrived without the postal rates chart! Can't be bothered sending it back. Guess I will just have to by a replacement postal chart.
however, it had obviously been returned from someone and the template that was supposed to come with it was not there. The unit works fine though.
works great for measuring epoxy resin/hardener mixtures. Well made and good sensitivity. Only downside is it automatically turns off in less than a minute. I have been in the middle of weighing something and digital display turns off. It would be nice if I could turn the auto-off off. Walmart's shipping service got this product to me a day after ordering - shocked and delighted.
Returned the first one because the plastic plate was etched and made it difficult to read. When I got the second one I removed the film and it was the same as the first. I decided to pry off the plastic cover. That worked, the viewer is clear to see the numbers. The other problem is the rate sheet is old. Instructions say go to web site of Royal to print out an up to date rate sheet. I did and the rate sheet there was 2011. I then called Royal and they said they would be putting the new sheet on line soon. A lot of trouble, but it is a good item. Hope this helps eliminate problems for others buying this.
Display screen and plastic cover looked used. Also, it did NOT include a free postal rate chart. The chart has to be downloaded from a PDF and printed out yourself.
I bought this scale because I was doing a lot of selling online for my store and ebay. I picked this as the majority of my items were small. If it was big, I figured I let thr Post office figure rates. Well I had it for a year and used it maybe for 30 items and out of the blue, it stopped working. I changed the battery and tried again and I get nothing. Yes they are brand new batteries. Just disappointed that I didn't get what I paid for. Will for sure shop around thistime and get a better quality machine. No more Royal scale for me. Am so disappointed.
While this scale is easy to use, it is not accurate. I would not recommend purchasing it as the weight of the items is not accurate and you would be putting on less postage than required. I returned it. Also, there is no postage rate scale included anymore.
