Excellent product. Performs quickly and accurately. The remote digital readout has large text and reverts to a clock when not in use. The scale has increased productivity and saved money. I would highly recommend this scale.

This is NOT a mail scale. I have a scale that reads up to 5 pounds with 10th of an ounce for MAIL. The scale has performed very well and has proven to be very consistent. The hold button help me with my short memory (for numbers). UPS, USPS, and FedEx have never disagreed with my weight declaration. I use it about 10 times a week. I wish reviewers would look at what they are buying before giving a bad review for their misuse of the scale.
I need something to use for shipping and I have used it to weight Freon containers, when empting the container the weight goes down, it seem to deal with it quite nicely so it lets me know how many pounds of Freon are used. I have used it with the batteries in both the scale and the remote, it works great. When it takes a sample for the weight it beeps when the weighting is done and it resample every once in a while. I have the remote about seven foot from the scale and have had no problems. The number are large easily read. I am using the 8x batteries for longer life and only have had them in there about four months but they are still going. I would recommend this item to anyone.
I like this scale for shipping heavy boxes. However, an AC Adapter is not included, and the batteries sat inside too long and messed up the battery compartment. I've literally searched for months for an AC Adapter and received the wrong one from Royal. Now they say they don't have one. Royal Customer Service (the 800 number provided on the back of the scale) is lacking in professionalism and etiquette. They don't listen, and transfer you without telling you what they're doing. I won't be buying anything Royal again.
Turns of so fast don't have time to load an item on it, wireless read out has to link with unit takes a long time. weighed the same item 3 times two diff weights. returning to Sam's
This scale is ok for giving an item's weight, but mine started turning back on after being turned off. This would have been ok, accept then it would beep every few minutes. I bought the service plan through Sam's and just recently gave up on this scale and got my money back. Be sure and buy the service plan if you try this scale.
Dont waste your money will not weigh any thing under 1 pd have to change the setting every time you us it from oz to pounds can weigh something 3 times and get 3 different weights.
I like the features: remote wireless display, 300 pound weight capacity, etc. It should be the perfect scale for me. Unfortunately nothing worked. The digital display was so weak it had to be a wireless remote so I could hold it close to my face and read it. The on/off button on side is nice and large so you can tap it with your foot easily prior to weighing a package as you will need to do this several times because it shuts off quickly and doesnt always zero properly. I could almost tollerate the previous issues but the final straw is that it rarely gives the same weight twice. The package might weigh 174 one time and the next 194 pounds, don't even try anything under a pound. I returned it! I like sams and shop there a lot but this is the third scale I have purchased there all had to be returned.
