We count thousands every year, $3-4k a week and this machine lasts about 2 years. Well worth the money. Easy to use. We run 2 at a time to seed up the work!
This item is the real deal. It is accurate and fun to use too.
I bought it about three weeks ago and it did a great job sorting all my coins. Highly recommend to anyone who have a store and receive coins on a daily basis.
I'd used one of these while teaching at high school and having to count coins after candy sales! When my local Elks Lodge needed one to handle many of their fundraisers that have lots of coinage, I ordered this one, as I already knew how to use it (and how to clear jams when they happen!). Works just fine!
Only had it for a week or two but it operates well. Do not make the mistake of putting Sacagawea dollars in it - will jam. Getting stuck coins out is a very simple process however.
Last only 2 years if you use for business and count $700-$800 per week
I thought the quality would be better, little doubt it will not last long (noisy/plastic sounding/jams) for business applications. Good for at home use.
I purchased two of these machines and ran both at the same time. Machine 1 died shortly after 1 year. Machine 2 is still running strong after year 2. Note: machine 1 did count far more coin than machine 2 during that first year. This is not a quiet machine. It is accurate but: It does not accept dollar or half dollar coins of any type. It cannot distinguish the difference between US coin and Canadian coin. The coin collection bins are supposed to move out when a standard roll denomination is counted. It does this correctly about 85% of the time. Even when the machine jams, because the collection bins don't move, the count is still accurate. The machine has worked good for my purposes. It has saved my organization a lot of time and hassle.
Bought this a few years ago and had nothing but trouble with it. It tends to jam all the time. There is a feature to try to get to the item that is causing the jam but it was impossible to get the piece out. Maybe it has improved but I won't spend the money a second time.
I am on my fourth one in 3 mos. they all do the same thing, They sometimes work as they are suppose to but all of a sudden it stops mid ways thru and pushes an entire row out, causing you to have to start over.. very aggravating
