I had years worth of personal documents to shred since I haven't replaced my old shredder for quite some time. This workhouse does the job it is supposed to do. Now, if you are doing some serious non-stop StormyGate type of shredding then this may not be the best choice as I did trip the overtemp circuit due to not allowing the unit to cool down per the printed instructions. But, for everyday light duty shredding this unit works great, and I'm glad I bought it.
It has a sliding top that covers/protects the controls and does a good job.
Wanted a simple low-maintenance paper shredder. That's exactly what I got! Easy to use, easy to empty canister without a mess, and is stream-lined so there's no bulky equipment in the office. Is a little loud but not uncomfortably so. Highly recommend this shredder! PS paper is shredded both horizontally and vertically. Awesome for confidentiality

I really like the drawer. I don't have to lift the heavy top every time I need to empty it, especially with arthritic hands.
This shredder works well on credit cards, which is the reason I purchased it. I like the reverse and forward options in case something gets caught up.
I had to take it back the same day I got it. It is junk.
