I USE THIS RACK IN MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER'S ROOM. SHE HAS ALOT OF LITTLE THINGS(JEWELRY, BARBIES AND BARBIE CLOTHES, MARKERS,SMALL STUFFED ANIMALS, ETC.) WHEN I MOVED HER INTO HER OWN ROOM, I NEEDED SOMETHING THAT WOULD STORE ALL THESE LITTLE THINGS. THIS RACK IS PERFECT!! AND IT IS CUTE TOO!! I'M JUST A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT EACH BIN IS SMALL, I WISH THEY MADE THEM A LITTLE BIGGER... BUT IT STILL WORKS GREAT FOR WHAT I NEEDED IT FOR!
The wooden ladder is excellent: very high quality and attractive. Assembly is fast and easy. The only disappointment is the weight of the canvas. It would be better described as medium-weight cotton fabric. The fabric won't hold much weight without pulling on the stitches. I plan to sew my own from a medium to medium-heavy weight canvas and replace the thin cardboard bottom support with either heavy cardboard, or masonite. Overall, it's a great item: the quality of the ladder more than compensates for the lightweight fabric.
I love this catch all, it keeps the toys more organized in my livingroom where my son plays most of the time. I am able to put things away in something that is not big and bulky but certainly holds a great deal. I am thinking about purchasing a second one to balance out the look in from of the mantel, it is a nice looking piece for the livingroom or anyroom and certainly keeps things organized and accessible.
we bought this product to hold our sons' toys in separate small compartments so they could find all the pieces for each toy easily. i love it! it works wonderfully for that purpose, and holds a lot in each basket. it also looks nicer than having another method of storing them.
I bought this to store some relatively small astro equipment. It works great for that. Be careful when screwing the wooden dowels to the retaining screws. The fixed nut inside the dowel is not affixed solidly. I had to glue a couple of loose ones using white glue. That worked OK.
This product serves as storage and is also a decorative item. It looks cute in the kids' room and has helped with organizing small toys. My daughter has little knick knack toys like little purses and puzzle pieces and they now have a place to go. I also have a lot of her books stored in the baskets. I do agree with the other user that this item looks bigger in the picture. Overall, good product.
I purchased this to store my Avon books & they fit perfectly! It is easy to assemble (my 12 yr old assembled it) and it is nice to look at, no fanfare. The only criticism is it that I wish it had a better locking mecanism to keep the legs apart. It just come with a strip of cloth to tie the rungs apart but nothing to prevent it from folding shut when it falls. or when moving it, etc. I'm still happy with it!
I bought this product to use as a storage for books. NOT a good idea. The product is very cute, the design is perfect. The assemply was very easy...the canvas bags are terrible. Mine came torn, the thread is thin and coming apart. Can't hold anything heavy. I tugged on the bag to see what it could hold...it ripped. I've discovered that the bags are good for holding diapers!
This is not what it appears to be. When putting together, the bars that hold the canvas baskets on stripped. Some weren't even drilled correctly. Plus, this was VERY small for $40. There was no room to reach in the baskets and grab things without taking them off. Not worth it. I took mine back and got regular baskets. Much Better.
I bought this product as a catch all in my sunroom, but once assembled, the baskets are too close together to get anything in them without having to remove the canvas from the pegs. The baskets are flimsy, so once you put an item in, it's a pain to get them back on the peg. The baskets are also smaller than they appear in the picture. Don't waste your money.
