Product, Rubbermaid, is always a great choice.
OK, but i really ordered the smaller sized ones.
We purchased three of these approximately 5 months from the date I am writing this. So far two of them have had the strap break which brings the usefullness and reliability of this product down to just about zero in my book. A great little pitcher/container but what good is it if the top is open due to a poorly functioning strap?
Don't order this. I received the wrong item - a 2 qt instead of the 1 Qt I ordered. The seller said the 1 QT was no longer available and I have to ship back the item to get a refund. I shouldn't have to pay shipping cost for your mistake by not updating your website. Not likely to order from WALMART again!
I ordered this container in the 1 quart size, I was sent the container in the 2 quart size.
I bought two of these bottles and use them to make drink mixes- like flavored teas, etc. The bottles are the perfect size for the mix and work great. But the “strap,” for lack of better term, on the lid, wears out after a few uses and can break. On one of my bottles it's completely detached, and the other is barely holding on. The bottle is still functional, but the lids are no good anymore. And I can't seem to find a vendor willing/able to sell only the lids. So I'm left with semi-functioning drinking vessels, until I break down and buy all new bottles. It's a bit frustrating.
I recently bought 6 to keep smoothies and juices. When I removed 1 from my cooler, out of nowhere it had a huge crack on the side. All the juice spilled out. I had drank from it one hour prior and it was fine. I did not wash it in dishwasher, nor keep it in heat nor in a freezer. I did not drop it. I fear the other 5 will crack and spill aswell.
I bought 2 of these to transport protein drinks to work. First one leaked a bit but not too horrid if maintained straight up in a cooler bag. Lasted about 3 weeks with careful attention then i dropped it one morning. The darn thing shattered like a glass pitcher. I thought perhaps it froze somehow in our refrigerator. Then today, my son knocked the second one off into the sink from the counter after filling it with icewater. Again the container cracked along the side seam and shattered along the bottom corner. Rubbermaid certainly has changed the materials being used because these containers wouldn't hold up to much handling. Too bad because I used to like how good the containers were for toting about and always just the right size. I won't buy anymore.
This item was not shipped, instead they sent a 2 quart size.
I was sent the wrong item and do not have time to mail back to the seller. Item took too long to arrive,
