I usually haven't had issue the last few times I purchased these potatoes but just yesterday I picked up my order only to get home and find them to be spoiled. Completely stunk up my truck. Shoppers need to check the quality of produce before giving them to their customers. Bought these to only throw them away. Waste of money… had the same issue with a bag a salad just last week!
I ordered JUMBO potatoes I received a small bag of very small potatoes. There was only 8 in the bag. My bananas were already brown. No good at all.
In spite of the bad reviews (a bazillion of them) I took a chance. They were kept in dark, cool room until I needed them today. Really disgusted with potatoes grown in California these days.
I don't know who you are buying these potatoes from, but they are horrible. This bag was delivered 9 days ago. As i am peeling the last of them to fry over half of them, by the time you removed the brown spot from the potato, there was only half of the potato left. Then i went to peel the one i am showing you and this is what it looks like inside the potato and on the outside. The bag i bought before this one smelled like diesel fuel and no matter how much you scrubbed it, you couldn't get rid of the smell. I have to admit ths one is scary for me though. I was raised on a farm so i know there are varmints that can destroy a crop, but i have never seen it this bad with a big hole on the side. Needless to say i did not have my fried potatoes.
When i think of Russet Potatoes, i think stuffed potatoes baked, then filled with your favorite toppings. This bag of potatoes unfortunately wasn't the case. Maybe for a toddler. I realize it's not Walmarts fault what is placed in the bag at harvest. All i ask is to try better. Photo below next to a small carton of sour cream.
I went to use the potatoes 7 days later and there was rotten moldy potatoes in the bag. They were stored in a dry dark cabinet. I've never had potatoes go bad this fast.
Sorry Shopping!!! Whole bag of rotten potatoes!!!! I can not just go to a store when I want to!!!! This cost me money!!!! Blamed the smell on the cats but it was the potatoes I just received yesterday!!!!
I've come to expect poorly chosen produce when I do an online order, but this is absurd. Last week it was a bag of onions 2 of the 5 were rotting. Now this. Was the weight adjustment to compensate for the possible presence of wiggly proteins? Y'all gotta do better!
I got these potatoes wrapped on May 17th and yes, I'll pull them out yesterday. That was 5 days. I was gonna use them and I pulled the bag out. were all rotten with bugs Worms Smell bad. I've never had a bag of potatoes rot like that in 5 days.
I had the potatoes delivered and didn't open them for a week. Had been seeing tiny brown flying bugs. Upon opening the bag, there were the bugs and molded potatoes.
