Not what you think it is

If you are expecting it to attact magnets like your fridge it won't. You need about 6-7 coats of this stuff to make the wall somewhat magnetic. Big flat magnets are the best. Always stir the stuff before you put it on the wall, and I mean with a big wooden spoon as all the iron sits at the bottom and sticks to the bottom of the can, I had it shaken at the paint store and it was still all stuck to the bottom when I got home. Always use up the whole can to get the iron from the bottom as stirring doesn't even get it all. This is an oil based product it stinks and it its messy. Use the foam roller like it says and at LEAST 6 coats for it to hold anything.

3 coats, very little magnetism

Applied 3 very generous coats of magnetic primer to a section of my wall. Then applied chalkboard paint overtop, just like the rust-oleum website recommends. The end result was a feeling of wasted money and effort for the magnetic primer. It barely has any magnetism.
