Vacationing in Galveston, we picked up a few "easy make" meals. I spotter Sadler's Brisket and tossed it in the cart. Cooked as directed on the package came out super, maybe a little dry, but awesome flavor! A bit disappointed that our local Walmart doesn't carry it. "Road Trip" Galveston's only about 50 miles away. I plan on getting more, and experimenting with the cooking to keep it from being dry. The flavor really rocks!
Bought one of these at Walmart for Sunday dinner. Was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and quality. The smoky flavor/smell was awesome! My husband said it was well worth the $36.00 I paid for a 3.5lb brisket. Would definitely buy it again. I added a 1/2 cup of water instead of the recommended 1/4 cup and turned the heat down by 25 degrees, heated it a bit shorter time than stated because of my oven. Came out absolutely delicious!!
I don't know what that person was talking about, "all fat". Great brisket.
We have purchased these sliced, pre-cooked beef briskets repeatedly, and have never been disappointed at their ease of preparation and the consistent high quality of the meat. We simply open the package, place the contents in a roasting pan with the recommended amount of water, and place it in the oven at the suggested temperature for 15 minutes per pound of meat. It always comes to the table juicy and full of that delicious smoky flavor. We were delighted to find this product in the Deli cold case at out Walmart Neighborhood Market, and at what we consider a very reasonable price for precooked, ready-to-eat Beef Brisket. We only hope that Walmart continues to stock this excellent product.
I was so pleasantly surprised with how delicious this brisket turned out the first time that I prepared it at home. Just reheat according to the directions per the package -- don't forget the water and seal the dish sufficiently. I use two layers of heavy duty aluminum foil across the dish. This is so tender, juicy, and delicious, you'll swear your in a Texas bar-b-que restaurant. Great for game day!
A lot of fat no taste and was tough
We rarely ever shop at Wal Mart any more and never buy meat because of the extra "brine" they put in their so called fresh meat. Well my wife stopped by there to get something for dinner and thought a brisket would be nice. What junk. All fat. Never heard of Sadler's but is a terrible choice and unfortunately more typical of my experience in buying meat from Wal Mart I was hoping to post some pictures like on Amazon but I can't
I bought a $36 brisket at Sam's Club. When I first opened it, the first few slices were mostly fat. I divided it into 4 packages, thinking the farther in I would find less fat, but that was not the case. This brisket was at least 60% fat. My family won't eat it, and I'm not sure what to do with it to keep from wasting my money. I am very disappointed.
This is awful. So dry even with the water added for reheating. And some fat would have been good but much on mine, just dry dry dry! Get some fresh stuff or cook your own. This is not worth half the price. Maybe if you throw it in some soup, ok then
