Shelves are very sturdy and love that shelves come off easily to move - best shelving product I have purchased.
Ordered three sets last week. They were good quality with hard powder coat paint. We literally had all three sets together in 45 minutes. I was surprised that the construction, without nuts and bolts, could be so sturdy and rigid. I am now ordering at least three more sets.
I received three units (2 48"" & 1 36""). Two were assembled fairly easily but I had to bend most the slots on the third unit in order to insert the tabs. All in all assembly goes pretty well and the finished product is attractive, sturdy and functionable'
This shelf, although holding up well, is very cheap looking and feeling. The shelving is thin metal and seems weak compared to my other shelves of similar design. Overall, looks and feels to be worth about half what I paid for it.
Metal shelving was not as easy to assemble as advertised. Had to use a rubber mallet, and then the sleeves bent outward. Then I had to pull the pieces apart and straighten the sleeves. Since I purchased this item, I saw similar and better metal shelving for less. At least the shipping was free.
Buyer beware! These are horribly packaged. We bought three shelving units - all three arrived damaged and one was missing pieces. They're heavy, and not protected at the corners at all. Almost every piece was scratched, some down to the metal. For the price, it's ridiculous that they aren't better packaged and protected. I called the number for the company and they don't take any responsibility, putting it back on Walmart and shipping for the damage. Called the number "for questions and concerns", and got the runaround. Then shelves themselves are nice...minus all the damage, scratches and missing pieces. Back to trying to track down how to fix this...
