Our house lacks a convenient coat closet and this solves that problem very attractively. It's sturdy and not tippy like so many coat racks. Looks just like the picture and is a pleasure to use.
got the coat rack for our office, easy to assemble and very sturdy.
This coat rack replaced a doddy coat rack I had for many years. My apartment is furnished in a modern style, and this coat rack fits in much better. It's stylish and functional, holding more coats without making them seem piled up on each other. Easy assembly, high quality materials.
I first discovered this particular coat tree walking on a tour through a site that I work at. I had never seen a coat rack quite like this one before! The first thing I noticed was that it was seated firmly on the floor creating a very balanced rack even if there were only a few items hanging on one side; the second was that it accommodated umbrellas! Thirdly, there was plenty space between hooks as to allow for thick heavy garments like coats to hang without becoming cramped or bunched! The only thing though, was that, when we were putting it together it required some sanding in the sockets in order to get the poles in. Other than that, its the best coat tree we have ever owned!
My son is at college and uses this to hang his coat, robe, and towels. It works quite well for that purpose being sturdy enough to hold it all. A bonus was using the insert in the base to hold his toiletries bag... not what it was meant to do, but it works.
Bought this item as a gift for a friend's new business/gym space. It has nine hooks which is more than the average coat stand and was one of the reasons I purchased it. I wish that the bottom segment had more weight, it is slightly top heavy since the top is so tall. there is a small chance that it could fall over if pulled on by children. Under normal circumstances, the rack would not topple, but the gym in which our rack is standing sees a lot of children.I am accustomed to assembling thing myself, but this rack definitely needs two people in order for it to come out right. The poles must be threaded down into the joints equally, and very, very tightly in order for the segments to be level, and to keep the three poles from turning as a unit. We had to twist and twist and twist, and it is better for one person to hold the section steady while the other does the twisting. However, our efforts were effective, and the rack looks jut like the picture. [...].Overall, a nice looking coat rack that needs a little too much precision to be a good ""some assembly required"" product.
Look is GREAT! Disappointed that the prongs are plastic!
The holder came in pieces. It would have been simple to assemble but the manufacturing was poor. The pre-drilled holes did not line up so the poles were impossible to screw in. We got it set up but it's pretty wobbly.
Cheap red stained wood with plastic hooks. Too cheap looking or any room in my house. Too flimsy for the garage. Steer away from this disaster!
The picture was pretty on-line and ordering was easy. The instructions were simple to put the item together, but the top was damaged, then once constructed, the item was crooked and was not as stable as we imagined it would be. We're not pleased and may look in our local home goods stores instead of taking another chance buying on-line.
