I was not aware they made fasteners of this type of material for cabinets. Im used the harder ones. I will say it was easy to install. I like it best for the bottom cabinets for the pots and pans. I would definitely recommend this for any mommy or daddy with a busy Toddler running around.
I put this on my fridge, and all you do is stick one side on the fridge door, and the other on the side of the fridge. It's really easy to lock and unlock, but not so easy that your nosey toddlers can open it. You just push the buttons and it unlocks for you to open the fridge and just snap it back to lock it. I have already bought more of these and plan on putting them on my washing machine and other appliances and as well. I will recommend this to everyone with rambling toddlers like mine. I was not aware of the multipurpose alliance lock prior to this program.
I used the multi-purpose appliance lock on my fridge. It's a side by side and the refrigerator side is very easy to open. Once this lock was put in place, my toddler was no longer able to open the door. And, it's easy for adults to unlatch it to open the door.
Very easy to install and effective in keeping my toddler from opening up the washing machine door. THis is the first time I use this kind of product so I have no comparison. It does serve its purpose. I wonder if it would leave behind any residue when I remove it in the future. I would recommend it if someone is in the market for one, except I can't warrant about the removal part. I would also consider this if I need it in the future.
Its very easy to install and very effective. Its make my daughter to stay away from the fridge door. This is the first time I use this kind of product so I have no comparison but i really happy that i use this product. It does serve its purpose. I wonder if it doesn't leave behind any residue when I remove it in the future. I would recommend when the kids start exploring the cupboards or fridge its best to use. I would also consider this if I need it in the future.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We put this on our freezer because the 3 kids wouldn't close the door and our food wouldn't freeze. It went on very easily, and holds it closed perfectly. It is easy to pop open but closing is kinda difficult because it is on the top and for the shorter people in the family it is hard to close because we can't see it, we can only close by feeling. The last safety strap/button we used broke very easily and this one has withstood grown ups pulling on it, so that's a plus.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I just recently bought our first home. Currently we are in the process of toddler proofing our Home The major issue that I have with this is that If you have to continue getting in and out of the refrigerator (our place of choice) the strap tends to get into the way and I find it hard and awkward to unlatch it. Would be nice if it was able to swivel out of the way when I'm not worrying about our toddler raiding the fridge for some cheese. Besides that it's just minor things that I can live with. At the end of the day it does its job and my daughter isn't able to get inside of the refrigerator anymore. Would recommend to others.

We have been using this to keep my 16 month old daughter out of the refrigerator. It was easy to apply and easy enough for adults to circumvent. Right now it is working effectively to keep her out of the refrigerator, but it does seem to be loosening up on its own and I am not sure it will be holding out much longer before I am in need of a replacement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Safety 1st Multi-Purpose Applicance Latch can be used on refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, cabinets and anything you don't want your little one getting into or hurt. The Safety 1st Multi-Purpose Applicance Latch is made of flexible and hard plastic. It also has two adhesive backing to apply where you want it. The package includes the latch and instructions. The instructions are easy to read and understand. I found that the Safety 1st Multi-Purpose Applicance Latch was easy to install and use. Although for my little one had torn it right off my appliance. I didnt find this product to be terrible, but it did not work with my family. I would recommend only purchasing one of the Safety 1st Multi-Purpose Appliance Latch to see if it will work with your family.
