[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this monitor! I was hesitant to get a WiFi monitor but each time you open the app, it establishes an encrypted channel and that really gives me peace of mind. I also like how clean and clear the images are, along with the recording feature. It's really convenient to use when leaving the house and having a babysitter watching your child. The price point is also very spot on. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or family member! Make sure you use the wall Mount to secure it better because it is a little flimsy if not securely mounted.
Straight out of the package, I loved the look of the Safety 1st Wifi Baby Monitor. I'll include a photo, but it fit seamlessly with our decor style. I love the wood grain accent on the camera. The monitor itself was very easy to set up. Because the camera swivels, we did not mount ours to the wall, it sits on top of a shelf with the attached stand for now. The app was straightforward to get set up and is easy to use for simple monitoring functions, but it leaves a few things to be desired. Pros of the app: easy to zoom in & out, very clear picture in day & night mode, pretty easy to share access to other family members or babysitters (just requires a few steps, but very simple to do). Cons of the app: because you can connect other devices in the same app, it requires several clicks to actually get to the video screen (only an issue if you are in a hurry to see why baby is crying, etc), not super clear or intuitive on where to click to access various features like talkback or to change different settings like motion/sound detection, etc. These aren't huge issues in the long run, as once you're using the app regularly, you figure out where things are, but it's not the simplest app I've used for a baby monitor. The fact that the app does allow you to connect various Safety First devices through one app would probably be a big pro for someone who had more than one of their smart devices in use (I only have the monitor, so I cannot comment on this). It does allow for easy screen grabs or recordings and has an optional cloud storage program for a fee where you can save your monitor footage, if desired. I opted not to pay for the cloud storage, so I have not used this feature of the monitor/app much. I was given this baby monitor to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. As a mom of 2 under 2, I was excited to test it out and especially at the price point, I think it's a great Wifi Baby Monitor option and is definitely one of the best looking monitors I've
I wanted to start off by saying our of all the baby monitors I have had between three kids this one takes the cake. It has a very sleek design and fits into most nursery themes, which is a really nice feature. It worked literally right out of the box. I just had to set up the app and I was good to go. The app works decently well. I get movement or sound notifications a lot of the time when no one is in the baby room or even in the home. I have no idea what it is picking up but it works when the baby is in the room which is the major thing I look for. The picture is really clear which is a huge thing for me. As you can see in the picture I added the image is clear even with the baby monitoring being all the way across the room. I can talk to him through this monitor which I like having this feature. The one thing that I just don't like about this monitor is when it says "Human Body detected". A better phrase would be "person detected" if you had to say that. I am not sure why it bothers me but in the middle of the night it absolutely freaks me out when I see that. Other than that this monitor has been a great addition to our home. The app works most of the time and stays updated to ensure everything is working correctly. Overall, I would give it 5 stars, just because the wording is not to my liking will not reduce the stars for me. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor.
This monitor has been SO easy to setup and use. It took me 5 minutes to get setup and I've never had to think about it since. The app makes it easy to adjust notifications and lets you peak in on baby either from the other room or halfway across the globe. I highly recommend for parents wanting something easy and sleek, very easy to pack and bring with you out of town as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the look of this baby monitor. Looks very sleek in my baby's room and I love that I can check on her from my phone. My only complaint is that it only works on wifi if you have the 2.4 separate. I had to cal my wifi company to change since I had moved while this came in
We received this monitor though Stelar Product Testing Panel and I absolutely love it so far! It has a very nice wide range lense, so far I haven't had any issues. My recommendations are #1 make sure you have strong Wi-Fi and #2 turn the sensitivity to low because it will alert you for movement when it's literally from the sun shining in. Con- setting it up through a new Wi-Fi is incredibly difficult. Would not recommend traveling with it.
I got this product to test out. It was great at first but then they forced me to do an update on the app. Now the night vision stinks. Basically for what I mainly use it for it is now useless. Please make it so I can undo the update.
The functionality of the safety first Wi-Fi baby monitor was good. It was super easy to set up and use. I loved how even when I wasn't home I could view the app and see. That was definitely one of my favorite parts. Unfortunately they had a recent update they forced everyone to do and now the night vision on it doesn't work at all. I loved being able to actually see my daughter in her bed at night but now the camera is only good when the lights are on. I received this product through the stellar product testing panel for my honest review.
Have had 2 of these cameras for 9 months. Seemed fine at first. But when I would have the app open at night after a couple hours it would crash. Every time. I sleep on a different floor than my baby and needed the monitor open all night to know when he wakes up. This has been very frustrating. The camera is mounted on a wall with plenty of ventilation but still heats up pretty warm, and loses WiFi connection. 3/4 times I try to open the camera on the app it doesn't work. At this point I'm looking for a replacement. And would not recommend this camera to anyone. I also find it very annoying that the only way to view this camera is through the terrible app. Nearly every other WiFi camera has an Rtsp feed that I can view separately from the app, which would be far more reliable as it's direct from the camera and not internet reliant. A baby monitor should always have a local option. I did not receive this camera for free. I am not just trying the camera out. I bought 2 of these when my son was born. And have had terrible experiences with it for several months.
Had to return this monitor. Did not work at all.
