I received this baby grooming set from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, I think it's a good set! It comes with the basics: hair brush, comb, nail clipper and the tool to extract mucous. I personally like that is white, since I have a preference for white items. I have a 4 month old and this set has everything I need to groom my little one. My favorite item is the hair brush. My baby was born with a decent amount of hair and this brush is gentle on his head yet hard enough to actually brush through his hair. I also liked the comb, specially if your baby has cradle cap, the comb will help remove it when washing his hair. Nail clipper works good too. Before, I had an electric nail filer and it worked great when he was a newborn and I was scared to cut his skin along with the nails. But now that he is moving a ton because he is aware that I'm doing something on his fingers, I prefer the nail clipper because it gets the job done much faster! Can't imagine going back now, the nail clipper saves me so much time! As for the tool to extract mucous, I can't say anything about it since I haven't had the chance to use it yet. Luckily for me, my baby hasn't been sick, so can't say how well it works since I didn't try it yet. All and all, I think it's a great set considering the price point and the variety of tools that come with it. I totally recommend it. You get all your baby grooming basics at an affordable price!
This 4 piece baby set came perfect timing for my 9 week old baby. My baby has hair so I didn't use the brush much as the comb worked better in babies that have longer or more hair. The comb works but I personally like the combs that have the teeth really close together to help keep cradle cap away, although I'm going to put this in my travel bag as to not lose my fine teeth comb. The fingernail clippers were my favorite item in this set. I would buy for them alone. They were easy to hold and use. They are sharp too. I didn't have to redo any cuts! I didn't have to worry about clipping my newborn's skin. This is a big worry of mine. The bulb syringe is a tool that was easy to squeeze and dispose of boogers into a tissue. My baby has a cold and this brought me comfort knowing I could clear mucus from her nose. This very much would be a nice addition to a baby gift. I was gifted this from the Stellar Panel Review Program.
I was given this baby care set from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it has been a great addition to our nursery. The bulb syringe has been my favorite piece from the set and has gotten lots of use this winter. That said, it has held up nicely and is very easy to clean. I love the smaller size of the brush and comb, making it easy to store and also throw in the diaper bag for travel. The brush bristles are very soft and our baby actually seems to enjoy it when I brush his hair! After a little practice, the nail clippers have become easier to use for this anxious mama and are gentle enough for our little one. They are also small/compact and I keep them in our diaper bag for on the go and travel. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of this baby care set, especially given the affordable price, and would recommend it!
I'm a new mom and have been trying out a ton of baby products figuring out what's a need and what isn't. I received this baby grooming set from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It has the main essentials you'll need for babies and toddlers: nail clippers perfectly sized for newborn fingernails, a bristle brush for fine baby hair (my favorite item for my newborn's full head of hair), a small comb, and a bulb nasal aspirator. This kit has the primary needs without the extra unnecessary frills, each tool is functional and will get a ton of use. I definitely recommend this kit. It would be a great gift to new parents, maybe even two so they can have one at home and one in the diaper bag for on-the-go.
I have 5 kids and one on the way safety 1 st baby care kit is a must have in my house have one for home and one on the go you will never know when you will need them
I ordered this for my third child that I'm expecting soon. I just wanted a basic grooming kit. I've learned from experience from my other two kids that I really don't need all of all of the extras that I won't use so this basic safety first kit is perfect.
This is a great basic set of baby products - it includes nail clippers, a comb, a brush, and a nasal aspirator. This set would be perfect for first time parents expecting a new kiddo. The bristles on this brush are soft and perfect for fine newborn hair. The nail clippers are petite and make clipping small baby nails easier. I was given this baby grooming set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but this is my honest review.
I received the Safety 1st Baby Care Basics Set (white) to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have two little girls, and while I already had these items, it is nice to have two sets. Now they can each have their own set. This pack came at the perfect time too as my 5 month old had a cold and I was able to test out the nasal aspirator. It did its job! However, she didn't care for it. I wish there was an easier, more thorough way to clean it but that seems fairly standard with nasal bulbs like this one. I used the comb to brush through my 2 year olds hair after her bath and she even took it for a spin. It's small and easy for her to hold and maneuver. I used the brush on my 5 month old and the bristles are soft which I appreciate for using on her sensitive head. As for the clippers, it is my personal preference not to use clippers on my kids but I decided to test it out for the sake of this trial and I will say it's easy to handle and it clipped through their nails easily. I might just end up using it for myself. It would fit nicely in a purse. Everything seems like it's good quality and each item does its intended job well. I would be comfortable giving this set as a gift or recommending to new parents.
I received the Safety 1st Baby Care Basics Set (in white) as a promotional product to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I have to say, I was a bit underwhelmed with the quality. The kit certainly has all of the "basics" that one would need for baby (comb, brush, bulb syringe, and nail clippers), however I have been using similar products on my 18-month-old that seem to work better. The brush has medium density and isn't too soft or too coarse, which can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. While it seems soft enough to not hurt my toddler's head, it's not coarse enough to get through her curls. The comb wasn't much better, and while it would be great for finer infant hair, the teeth are not wide enough to effectively comb through my daughter's hair. The nail clippers also have their own pros and cons. Some pros are the sharpness, the size, and the ease of grip, but some cons are also the size and the lack of a "guardrail", to ensure you don't cut baby's nails too short or lacerate their skin. I was holding my breath with each "click" of the clippers, waiting to see if I had injured my daughter, which was like playing the game of Operation, but way less fun. I think overall for the price, you can't beat what's included in the kit, however, if you're willing to spend a little more, you'll get better quality tools.
It's a good starter kit even though there are more better brands out there, but if your on a budget this is good.
