I came yo the product page to get the instruction manual and was surprised to see all the negative reviews. We've had several grocery-store-cheap digital under-arm thermometers and those are terrible. We've also had 'nice' thermometers that were clearly superior to the grocery store brands. When our last one broke (the kido tried prying something open with it) we decided to go premium and got this one. I would say it's accurate and easy to use and fast (Trifecta!). It's also easy to read (even in a dark room) and easy to operate. I'm not sure how reviewers say it's hard to use. It's one button to turn it on/measure and another button to turn it off. It's also well built and comfortable to hold. The best feature is the "1 second" read time -- it really is one second -- which is great considering a lot of the 6- or 10-second thermometers take a lot longer than advertised.
I had trouble switching from C to F cause I threw away the manual but online helped just hit the power button for 5 sec wen its off n the lil F comes on :) first thermom my son lets me use on him it's fast n easy fits easy in a diaper bag :) I bought it at least 6 months ago n it's working great!!

I've barely used this and it tells me the battery is dead. So I bought a new battery used it a few times and it's dead again. It also is not very accurate. Gives me different readings back to back.
It's 1:30 and your infant is screaming with a fever and throwing up all over you. You reach for the thermometer, oh #%+* the battery is dead. Then you realize it's a stupid cr2032 and not a simple AAA/AA or anything common. By the time you rob the battery from your garage door remote (or the key fob for your car) everyone else has been woken up. Of course you haven't used it in six months and can't remember what each button does so you need to get the instructions out. Enough ranting. It's just a cheaply made product the automatic backlight screen stays lit for 1 second.
I had bought this product because it said it was fast and accurate. I could tell my child had a fever so I took his temp with this thermometer and it read 98.8. I knew that wasn't true so I used an under arm thermometer and it read 101.3. Big difference!
This thermometer is terrible. My son has a temp of over 101 with a under arm thermometer, this one only says 97.3. It makes my son cry every time we try to use it, and the buttons on it don't make sense. Don't waste your money I know I wish I didnt.
Unbelievable, but it is Impossible to figure out how to use!! buttons are not marked and it is very frustrating because with only two buttons you would think you could figure it out but it is very badly designed! do NOT buy this thermometer.
Hi my name is Ana. I'm from Brazil and I bothered the ear thermometer in the USA when I was pregnant. I barely used on my daughter. She's 18 months old now. I used couple times and worked good. Them when I tried to use again the thermometer start to show LO so I replace the battery and never worked again. The battery that I bought is CR2032 3V. I'm very disappointed with the product especially because I'm not in USA to resolve this problem. The model number is 49659 Lot# 1405AV.
This product was not good. I out a brand new battery in 3 times and it read low battery and then would not take a reading. Unreliable especially when a child has a fever and first time parent. Thank goodness for a back up.made by Braun
