I have bought this mobile and i love this mobile. Am totally satisfied with this mobile. I love all the features the mobile has. The Camera features rock. The mobile is light weight. Rarely i find the mobile restarts itself but that is not a problem to me. It has satisfied my expectations just as i thought my mobile would be.
I decided to try the soltice II for my phone upgrade, it caught my eye on the display..it has a attractive shape, the size is right on to fit into your pocket, it has a large touch screen. The mini usb connection is a nice touch. I'm very happy with this phone....I made the right decision with it.
Nice touchpad, very sensitive. Nice picture and resolution. Easy to use camera. However, it has no qwerty keyboard. I bought it as a gift for my husband and he is glad with it.
I love all the features on this phone except for one. When your talking to someone on the phone you can almost always turn the mute or speaker on. Because it's a touchscreen your face obviously keeps touching it and cancels out the timeout feature. I have mine set to 15 seconds, but while on the phone you have it up to your ear so you can hear and so of course you keep touching it and then I've even brought up the number pad and I was hitting numbers over and over. So that's the only thing that bothers me. I haven't figured out a way to make it go blank so that I wont hit any of those buttons. But I can easily deal with that because I love all the other features.
Good for use within and outside of the country. Insert international Sim card and was able to make contact with friends and family. Keeps you connect with the world no matter where you are.
I purchased this phone Oct.2010. In less than a year it started freezing and shutting off. The phone was replaced and new one works OK. Menu can be confusing, not intuitive for me. Keyboard is great. Volume is low but I use it primarily in the car with a Blueant 4 so that's not a problem. Speech is muffled for others listening to me .Screen is useless in the sun or with polarized glasses.
The phone is a good phone, but it may work better with AT&T as the service provider because the operating system on the phone is AT&T's. We will try several other providers with this phone because it is unlocked and has several receiver modes. Eventhough the phone is a "smart phone" it does not allow you to download apps from Google Play.
Having moved from the first generation of the Samsung Eternity (which besides occasional battery problems, I LOVED), I figured this phone shouldn't be too different. I thought since it was newer it would even be a step up, but I was wrong. This phone was a huge step backwards and I regret signing the 18 month contract. The glitches didn't come until a month AFTER the 30 day warranty so now I'm stuck with it. The memory space is very limited, there is no headphone jack, sometimes the screen changes to a bunch of different colors, vibrates, and then the phone just shuts off completely. Sometimes the touch screen doesn't work at all and there is no way to fix it. The camera is alright, although I miss having 3.0 mp with the Eternity as opposed to the 2.0 mp that I have with this (but the photo editing features are just as good). When I first got this phone it took some time to get used to texting on the keyboard because I couldn't find any way to calibrate the touch screen. Once I got used to it I really enjoyed texting on it more than the Eternity. It is also much sleeker and more lightweight which I like, but it would be more worth it to me if I could actually use it every time i needed it! ...Right now the touch screen isn't even working/responding and it's very frustrating seeing that I am getting new messages that I can't respond to, seeing "SMS memory full. Delete SMS." popping up, and needing to set the alarm on it for morning and not being able to. I would NOT recommend this phone to anyone. It seems nice when you see it in the store, but it isn't worth all the trouble you'll have with it a month or two later.
its great for my husband, first time touch screen user, he loves it. i do not like it, im used to android, i had a moment, it tool great pictures, this phone takes poor pictures, voices are mummbled,i don't find it easy to send pictures to face book and more, id like to trade it in, but keep my hubbys for him
I owned the Samsung1 and loved it.. and when it was time for my upgrade I was excited about getting the Samsung II thinking well the first one was really good so the second one has to be great... OH BOY was I wrong.. it took me 15 minutes to figure out HOW to get the back off the phone.. There is sooooo much junk on the menu that you cant hardly find what your looking for..It would be ok if you could delete the ones you DONT need/use but I hadnt figured it out yet if you can. And your face hits the touch screen and pushes all kinds of button or hangs up your calls..NO I would NOT recommend this phone..I HATE IT
