My family loves Sambucol large original syrup! One bottle lasts a long time and the taste is quite tolerable.
I like that sambucol black elderberry syrup is easy to take and helps boost my immune system. It doesn't taste like cough syrup! Instead it's slightly tart, only a little sweet and it smells tomato-ish and has a tomato after taste to me that I like. I think this would be great mixed into beverages, like a virgin bloody mary. I like that it's not too sweet. But I was expecting it to taste fruity or like berries. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.
Sambucol is an amazing brand! I love all their products. This Black Elderberry syrup is by far my favorite! It tastes so delicious and is very easy to take. I like taking it by itself but sometimes I'll add it to water or even smoothies.
This is the best thing to take the moment you feel a sniffle or cold coming on. You don't need to read the many clinical reports on the effectiveness of this syrup, you just need to know that it works. At the first sign of a cold or just feeling blah, take 2 tablespoons 4 times a day, and you will be amazed how quickly those symptoms go away. I can't tell you how many times I've felt lousy, that a cold was trying to take hold, and after taking the stuff several times in the course of the day and before bedtime, and that the next morning I felt fine. You'll be thinking, "Boy! This stuff really works!" (And then I'll be reading your review right here!) I have a couple bottles of the syrup always on hand. Don't go into the fall and winter without it.
I started Sambucol about a year ago after seeing the commercials on tv. I got a slight feeling of a sore throat and took two shots—the next day I woke up feeling 100% better. I was convinced that it does what it is supposed to do for the body. I don't take it everyday. Two to three doses a month usually works for me or when I'm feeling a little under the weather.
I love this syrup!!! I put in my morning smoothies right after my yoga sessions highly recommend
This product has many benefits including it is for children ages four and up. I was a few days into an illness when my sister brought this to me and told me to try it. I am super happy I did it knocked out my sickness in a few days and me and my family take two teaspoons of it everyday religiously. It has a good flavor so my children do not have a problem taking it. It is like a treat for them. It has definitely been beneficial to incorporate into our everyday routine to help prevent from getting sick well worth it.

I like that it has elderberry in it and the health benefits of it. I don't like all of the added sugars etc...
Today, I was very disappointed when I received my order. I bought 3 bottles . Among them is 1 bottle. It's almost expired. Inside, the liquid was damaged. I do not know. And gave my child a drink. When I look back, I know the product has almost expired. It's so disappointing.
