I bought these as alternative to buying the salmon at Costco and I'm very happily surprised. After reading reviews I was worried but I still had to try. They cook well and taste great, I'm impressed. Obviously the serving size compared to Costco is smaller BUT when paying $17 vs $33, I'll happily eat multiple fillets if I need. These have become a staple in my diet. Great for salmon Cobb salads!
More than half of the 1 star reviews are non-related to the product itself. I give this a 5 star as I was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the fillets were. Each individually sealed and frozen approximately one inch thick all throughout. They cooked evenly, came out flaky and super tasty. My walmart is a new, clean and a super store in a nice area of Katy so my expectation were met and I will definitely buy again.
The portions are large and thick, and they taste delicious! I put them in the air fryer for a few minutes, then put seasoning on both sides, then cooked them using the fish preset button. It was 330 degrees for 20 minutes, and they came out perfect! After they were done, I added a small tab of butter to melt on top and run down the sides. They just fell apart with my fork and were so tender.
We absolutely love these fillets. More than the typical salmon fillets as they are fattier being from the Atlantic. We gently sprinkle a little sea salt, pepper, deal, coriander, and a touch of garlic powder, drizzle some extra virgin olive oil over it, wrap in aluminum foil, leaving a hole at the top for the steam to escape. Place in a preheated 400° oven for 20-25 minutes and they come out perfect every time.
First time purchasing frozen and the last! 20 minutes in the oven = Dry, not fork flaky, failure in flavor, totally disappointed. At almost $16 for 5 small servings, I would have expected better. You never know till you give something a try and now I know!
i bought the package and when i got home just threw it in the freezer like i always do. today i went to open it and it was alreadt opened almost like it was bit into. Along with that 3 of the 4 salmons were also open and now freezer burnt. $18 for 1 useable salmon
What I dislike about this salmon pack. Fake advertisement. Please look at the side of the bag it contains traces of crab, Lobsters, and Shrimp. Whoever could be allergic. The bag does not only contain Atlantic salmon. I call customer service about it they did not do anything about it. When I did order salmon again I received the same bag😠. When I used to buy salmon the ingredients only had salmon not traces of crab, shrimp, and Lobster.
For the amount of money I paid for this bag premium salmon, I was extremely disappointed when I saw only 4 filets in the bag. I felt ripped off and will not buy this brand of salmon again.
Package states 6 servings and it only had 4
As you can see, the package states it has 6 servings per package. And when I opened the package there was only 5. It does state that one serving is one filet, so I was shorted an entire filet. Food isnt cheap anymore and I paid alot for this package that i was shorted.
