My room-mate and are both avid cooks and adventurous eaters, but between work, school, and athletic pursuits, we don't have as much time for cooking as we'd like. Enter Sam's Choice Greek-Style Herbed Chicken and Feta Cheese Kit. We discovered this product a few months ago and decided to give it a whirl. We figured that, at very least, it would be a decent quick meal. When we tried it, the kit not only met, but far and away exceeded, our expectations. Here's the breakdown: -Value- For around $8 or $9 (including the purchase of rice, couscous, or good bread for a side dish), this kit will feed four reasonably-hungry adults. Throw in a salad for a couple bucks more, and you might even be able to extend it to six -- bringing the total for a restaurant-quality meal for six adults to around $10 or $12. Using just the kit and some rice, the roomie and I generally find ourselves very satisfied, and still have enough left over to provide lunch for each of us the next day. -Quality- I have absolutely no complaints, here. The white-meat chicken is tender, juicy, and flavorful. The kalamata olives and feta cheese retain the flavors and textures that lend them their character. -Flavor- The pungeant feta and salty, fruity olives perfectly compliment the kit's aromatic chicken, which bursts with the heady flavors of rosemary and other Mediterranean herbs. Tender Roma tomato chunks provide a tart, flavorful accompaniment. Served with a side of pine-nut couscous or a wild rice blend, the balance of flavors is reminscent of dishes served at good Mediterranean restaurants. -Suggestions- Pair this product with a grain-based side-dish -- pine-nut couscous or a wild rice blend prepared with chicken broth -- or good, crusty bread. A salad dressed with olive oil, tarragon vinegar, pepper, and a sprinkling of feta makes a flavorful compliment and completes the meal from a nutritional perspective. If you're having company for dinner, this kit makes a quick-and-easy yet impressive meal -- and since preparation takes only 20 minutes, you'll have more time to spend with your guests.
My husband & I loved your product. It was very good @ filling. The only thing is that It was incomplete. I bought The Greek Style Herbed @ Feta cheese Kit. When I opened the box there was no Feta Cheese. I still made it for dinner, because that's all I had to make for that night. I put shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken. It had a funny taste to it. We were disapointed because there was no Feta Cheese. I hope this dosen't happen again. I would like to purchase more of your products, as long as there complete.
This is by far the best frozen meal I have tasted. I would unconditionally recommend this to anyone who likes a quick, great tasting, complete meal in one dish.
