i have had my fridge for one week. water pitcher melted! no instructions not to put in dishwasher.
I have had this fridge since 2017 and the first year it worked great. Then I began having problems with the ice maker and have had it replaced 4 times under manufacturers and extended warranties. It continues to freeze up which ticks me off--I have noticed this same model/design still sold with the ice maker in the fridge. I'm so disappointed in this fridge and would like to know why this has not been recalled/fixed. I will never buy this type of fridge again--Samsung has known about this problem over 6 years and not fixed it yet!
Renovated my Kitchen and bought the whole package of Samsung appliances. Figured since my washer and dryer turned out to be reliable, how bad can the others be??? Absolutely the worst decision ever!! 4 years in and ever appliance had had to have a part replaced. The absolute worst was the fridge! Google search Samsung ICE Maker problems…. I have had them replace the “mother board” and perform the “upgrade “ fix for the reoccurring ice machine freezing completely up…. Only lasted a year. And last night the ice auger motor some how shorted out and came on by itself while we were sleeping!!!! Woke up to the smoke detectors going off …. Had to quickly shut the breaker off, pull the plug and push the frig out of the house!!! Thank God my kitchen had a double sliding door and I'm also a firefighter!!!! Can't imagine if this happened when I was a work and the wife and kids were home alone…..I will never buy another Samsung again!!!!
The ice maker freezes over which causes it to no longer make ice and even keeps the tray from pulling out. Samsung knows about this obvious defect; there is a class-action lawsuit dating back years, yet they continue to sell the defective design. To clear the ice requires a hair dryer and 24 hours for it to generate enough ice to fill a glass.
The ice makes os absolutely trash Takes over 2 weeks to fill with ice this should recalled and fixed samung
like many others, the ice maker on my expensive fridge has failed in just two years. it started with the occasional ice jam in the area where the ice cubes are "made" and then dropped into the holding bin. then frost and ice started coating the inside of the ice maker unit. now we have ice jams at least once per week. this isn't under warranty, so i'm stuck with hundreds of dollars in repairs for a unit only tw years old. i'll never buy samsung appliances again.
this counter depth refrigerator is beautiful. i love the streamlined look. however, the icemaker has frozen up over and over. this requires manually defrosting the ice maker. i've seen my same complaint repeated by others across the internet. samsung please, please, please figure out how to fix this issue. an appliance this expensive should not have this problem. i am defrosting the ice maker again while i write this review.
water pitcher leaks. ice maker is slow and leaks causing rust/water spots. water from the ice bin leaks into the fridge. the black finish chips and peels. ice maker stopped working after 20 months.
we are extremetly disappointed with quality and lack of support to get the issues resolved. we have several pieces of the stainless steel that are chipping off and the samsung logo is peeling off as well. we purchased the refrigerator and extended warranty less than a year ago and were told is it not covered.
I've owned this model for 5 years. Never would I buy a Samsung again.. replaced ice maker 2 times and it still doesn't make ice. Water pitcher stopped filling months ago.. freezer sliding drawer won't stay on it tracks.. I'm a senior citizen living alone.. REFIG doesn't have much use. Horrible.. if I could afford to junk it I would!!!!!
