[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator did take some time to set up which included putting on the handles and adding the door shelves. The refrigerator looks great, the stainless steel look is very classy and pairs well with our dark cherry cabinets. The surface does a great job of not showing fingerprints. The water dispenser is very easy to use, to change from water to ice you simply just touch what you want. Inside the refrigerator, there is a digital display that allows you to change the temperature of the refrigerator, freezer or the flex drawer. There is a flex drawer which allows you to easily separate the drawer into four different areas and the temperature can be changed to allow for beverages, wine, or deli meats. We choose to put soda cans and bottled water in the flex zone drawer, it is easily accessible. The lighting inside is a bright LED light. The freezer space is not that large, but the refrigerator section is adequate. One of the shelves adjusts nicely to make the perfect spot to put gallon milk jugs which are very easy to access. One of my favorite features is this refrigerator can be connected to your smartphone and show you the temperate settings, allows you to turn the ice maker off or on, and a self-diagnose feature. A nice feature if the door is left open an alarm will beep and a notification will be sent to your smartphone if you have the SmartThings app connected. The app also shows energy usage which is helpful information. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had a Samsung refrigerator for nearly 10 years and it's worked great. Which made the decision to stick with another Samsung easier but there was still some hesitation because a newer model doesn't necessarily mean better. The RF24R7201SR has been so good to us. Plenty of room for everything we need and great new features. Top feature has to be the FlexZone drawer. It's so convenient to have a place to put those oft-needed items for quick access, eliminating the need to open the full refrigerator. Cosmetically, it's amazing. It's a lower profile than our previous one so fit in perfects and has actually created more space in our kitchen without giving up any storage space. Overall it's everything we were hoping for in our next Samsung refrigerator.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good! The smaller drawer is seriously clutch! We used clear organizers within that drawer, and it's a meat/cheese and dairy snack drawer!! So nice to not have to open the entire fridge to get to the snacks!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't think I would enjoy having a new fridge as much as I have so far! This Samsung fridge is modern, sleek, and fits great in our kitchen. We had a well working stainless side by side fridge that this one has replaced and so far we love the following benefits: -French doors with larger fridge space up high; we don't use the freezer as much so I definitely like having refridgerated items on the upper level and freezer below -Ice dispenser actually dispenses ice without jamming once a week; this was a major frustration with the old fridge, it seemed all the cubes would freeze together and once a week we had to dump it out -Nice storage options and easy to customize, especially the "bonus" pull out area in the middle -quiet, hardly hear it at all -more compact, doesn't stick out as far from the wall and somehow seems to hold more items -like the smart connectivity via wifi; it alerted me on my phone when the door was accidentally left open by my wife Overall, I really can't think of many other things this fridge could do better. It just works and works well in a nice, sleek, modern package!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is a huge upgrade from my previous one. It looks so stately in my kitchen - truly a focal point. The stainless steel goes so well with my upgraded granite countertops and tile backsplash. The design is sleek and beautiful in its simplicity. Really a modern look. It is fingerprint and smudge resistant, but I do wish it was a little more so. Love the temperature controls and multiple storage options. The flip up shelf is perfect for taller items. It is so convenient to have refrigerated items on top and in the forefront. So much more room for food - it's almost never over full, even after I grocery shop when I'm hungry! The flex zone drawer is wonderful for storing drinks and frequently used smaller items. Great that I can adjust the temperature in the drawer differently from the other parts of the fridge. Lighting is bright and natural looking. My only small issue, is that I would like if the freezer internal sliding drawer operated more smoothly. It tends to come off the tracks if not gently pushed and pulled from the center. Connectivity to the app is nice. I feel more confident knowing I'll be alerted remotely of a door is left open or temperature changes. Also good to be alerted to change water filter. Oh, water and ice taste great too! Really pleased that food odors don't linger. Can't wait to replace all of the remainder of my appliances to matching Samsung appliances. Love it - so cool! Pun intended.
The product: The design is perfect. We love the center drawer. Even though it is 2 cf smaller than our other fridge, it feels like it has more space. The ability to control temps from an app is cool... still trying to figure out when we will use that function. The ice maker is small and takes awhile to churn & dump ice. It is easy to remove from the fridge. There is a high pitched sound that bothers me a little but my husband can't hear it. He keeps telling me that I'll get used to it. The delivery: I purchased from Sam's and it appears to be Samsung that manages the delivery through XPO. There was constant & courteous contact and product was received before anticipated date. Every appliance should be delivered through this company!
This fridge is caca from the very beginning Ice maker died after a month of owning it, was replaced, now the fridge isn't staying cold. Warranty expired a few days ago. Now I'll be stuck paying the labor and parts fees , its only 3 years old! Come on Samsung, get it together
Purchased over a year ago. I have puddles everyday infront due to the ice maker and water. The ice maker gets stuck and I have to push the ice through. The worst problem is that is defrost all the time. Our ice cream is always melted and our milk gallons sweat. Cheese is also always melted. Food does not last and we throw away lots of food. So we buy our food daily. And YES I have contacted Samsung multiple times and they "will call back with service info". I'm now shopping for a new fridge. Waste of money.
Freezes up and ice melts in top part of fridge causing mold or constant water collecting in drawers. Side bins have broken as well. Soda stream part works great but water dispenser is slow to pour.
Spent around 2300 for this fridge. I was sad to see that there was no exterior dispenser light for this fridge even though there is a spot where it was available for older models
