I purchased this phone to replace another brand that without warning decided to dial random numbers no matter what keys were pressed. The salesperson also had this phone and recommended it to make my texting life easier. It no longer takes me forever to reply to my daughters text messages. I love it.
My wife bought me this phone for my birthday. It has been great. I had never even thought of using a "smartphone". She has recently started texting(alot). I love the full keyboard on this phone. The display is awesome and being able to upgrade software easily is a big plus. If you like a nice straight forward phone without the awkward touch screen keys, this is one of the best.
This is the best phone I've had so far. I use it for corporate and personal e-mail, Web browsing, and of course as a phone. They've upgraded it from the previous Blackjack; this one will remember more than one hands-free bluetooth device, so if I get in my car it connects, and if I use my headset it connects, with no resetting. The keys are large enough to be easy to use, and the positions of the numeric keys and the logic of caps/Fn has been improved. And the battery life is exceptional. At the end of the day it always has a lot of power left, after constant e-mail and heavy voice usage - outstanding!
The Blackjack II is a great buy. Great smartphone with great capabilities. There is so much this phone can do, I would recommend it to anyone.
I have had the Blackjack II for about a year and it is the best, easiest to use and intuitive smartphone I have had. The call quality is very good and I particularly the texting/E-Mail aspects of this phone. If you are loking for a phone that you do not need to be an IT professional to use and do not want to read the Users Manual to use the features effectively, this phone is an excellent choice.
After 7 faulty phones from AT&T I thought my problem was solved with this BlackJack II. Unfortunately it arrived with Windows Mobile 6.0. I synced it with my PC. Suddenly half my appointments were missing. Finally Samsung told how to verify I had 6.0 which I thought I had downloaded. I was then sent to the download page where in BOLD LETTERS it said Windows Mobile 6.1 is not compatible with Samsung. Called Mfg again. They confirmed. Now I AM STUCK with a phone that doesn't do Outlook.
I ordered the pink Blackjack II and I love the phone and all the features. I had the phone for a week and the screen was not sealed properly and there was a ton of dust under the screen cover. I am waiting for my replacement to arrive. Hopefully it will not have the same problem.
Phone is great other than I miss the scroll bar on the side. It was just something I got use to on my old Blackjack. Other than that, it is fast, has the features I need and the layout is nice. I gave "features" a 3 star based on the missing scroll bar. But I would recommend this phone to anyone.
Totally worth the upgrade. I was even able to upgrade it to Windows Mobile 6.1 and it is still thinner/lighter than most of the new phones out there. The BlackJack II totally solves the battery issue. I only have to charge every few days rather than everyday even when I use 3G. My only complaint is that it does not have WIFI. I am happy I upgraded from the first BlackJack to the BlackJack II.
I have had my share of phones and I usually go with the Samsung phones. After this phone I will never buy another samsung again. I have insurance on this phone and I have used it twice in less than a year. It isn't because of wear and tear, it is because of the phone itself! It freezes all the time and wont work for days and sometimes the buttons stop working! Again this is the worst phone I have ever had in my life! My two other samsungs were great, lasted me years and years, but this one can't even make it past 6months! Worst phone EVER!!!!
