My daughter had her iPhone stolen in NYC so she needed a temporary replacement phone. She has found this phone to be just as good as her iPhone for just about everything. Fewer apps but she doesn't use that many anyway. Fast and glitch free so far.
This is my first smart phone. After researching all OS's and brands, I decided to go with the Focus 2. I liked the small size, I wanted windows os as it is so easy to learn and set things up. I had a Samsung Eternity 2 previously and had great luck with it. I wanted the FM radio. 8GB is plenty for me at this time. I have found all of the apps I need. I love the white and silver color, very stylish. The 4Glte is fast. Great phone, I am happy!
I bought this phone and it is awesome (first time using a touchscreen phone)............ I live on my phone so it was just perfect with all the live tiles having all my messages an so on in one place, oh yes! Absolutely amazing.
I had the first Samsung Focus and it unfortunately fell down two flights of stairs and was ruined, so I got the Samsung Focus II. I love this phone. I have everything at my fingertips. If people are not familiar with the Windows phones, they should be. They are awesome!!
The first time I this product I thought I will never like, but after a couple of days using it, everything change and started loving it bec. it fits all my needs to a cellphone. Navigating to the web is as fast as my table pc. Absolutely I am recomending this to my friends.
This is a fun device to have...I like everything about it except that I would like the option to change the sizes of the live tiles...For messaging, people, email. I would also like to see some better apps in the market place and a longer lasting battery....other than that, I would very much recommend this phone to my friends.
I purchased the phone for my wife; she likes the Windows phone interface. We use the phone with a Straight Talk (ATT MVNO) sim card. I specifically wanted an unlocked phone and ATT is one of the few carriers that works well in my area. I chose the phone based on price (~$200), features (4G capable, dual cameras, Windows), brand, and size (compact). I spent 60-90 minutes setting up the phone to work on Straight Talk. I had to download a free Samsung app using wifi in order to change the phone's cellular network settings. It took me 3 attempts to get the settings correct, but with some patience and a few Google searches, it works well. The phone runs about 2 days on standby and 1 day with moderate use. I also considered the Huawei Ascend W1 and Nokia Lumia 500/600 series. The Nokia phones were hard to find in unlocked form. They also appeared to have fewer features for the money. The Huawei Ascend sold by Straight Talk did not appeal to me because I know little about the brand. It also appears to only work on Straight Talk's service.
So far I am very pleased with this phone. The only thing I'm having trouble with is sending or receiving pictures. Not sure why I can't, but hopefully will get it working soon. I love the style and set-up on the phone.
The Samsung Focus 2 is a good buy. It is lightweight but very durable and stylish. There are easy to use apps, a great camera with video and very clear graphics. The phone freezes sometimes but this is usually when it needs to be recharged. Also, it has a decent battery life.
This phone seemed like a really good deal. It had lots of features and looked so nice. I could not wait to use it. The phone arrived fast, but when it arrived my sim card would not work in the phone. It was supposed to be an unlocked smart phone. I have my service with straighttalk and they have stopped selling the at&t sim cards so I could not order one to see if it would work. Total bust.
