Not only is this device beautiful, it is incredibly effecient. I am a minimalist who does not like too many apps on my screen. I LOVE stacking them on the side! (You need to have this feature on the S6 Edge! Puuuulease!)
I love this phone. I work in the field and take a number of pictures. The idea that I can pull out the S-PEN and write on the images is great. I've used this feature many times. Take the picture, S-Pen ideas directly on the image and forward to contractors. This is the BOMB. No more long email trying to explain what I want. Thank you Samsung for seeing outside the box.
Coming from the Note 3, I was really looking forward to some new changes. The EDGE was the biggest reason why I chose it. Having more information being displayed on the EDGE is wonderful, at nighttime i use it like a clock as I can peer over and see the time. other app that have involved other great features is what makes it fascinating and different. I love how fast and crisp the response is with the new processor. The screen resolution is much better than the Note 3. The S Pen has always been a great feature of which I use quite often. I would like to have seen the battery life increase a bit more but with other charging options and the option to swap the battery it is not that bad.
I'm a new Galaxy Note owner and I am so glad that I got the edge I love the pan and all the features phone runs very quickly

THIS SMART PHONE BRINGS A "HOW TO SCREEN" UP TO INSTRUCT ME ON HOW TO USE ALL OF IT'S GREAT FEATURES AND I REALLY NEEDED THAT! MOST OF THE TIME IN THE PAST I HAD TO HAVE MY KIDS SHOW ME HOW TO DO ALL OF THE NEAT THINGS THAT I SAW THEM DOING ON THEIR SMART PHONES. WITH THE EDGE, I DIDN'T NEED THEIR HELP AT ALL. IT'S BEEN LIBERATING FOR ME TO NOT HAVE TO RELY ON SOMEONE ELSE TO USE MY NEW PHONE! THE EDGE IS A QUALITY PRODUCT, AND IS VERY STURDY. I USED THE REGULAR COVER TO BEGIN WITH AND WHEN I WAS ON LINE, OR LOOKING AT FACEBOOK AND RECIEVED A CALL, MY CALL COULD BE ANSWERED BY SWIPING THE CURVE OF THE EDGE AND NOT INTERFERE WITH WHAT I HAD ON THE MAIN SCREEN. I CHANGED TO THE WALLET COVER FOR TRAVEL AND THE PHONE CAN BE ANSWERED BY SWIPING THE EDGE AND YOU CAN HOLD IT TO YOUR EAR AND TALK WITHOUT EVER OPENING THE COVER. I HAVE THE 10.1 SAMSUNG NOTE TABLET, AND IT IS VERY MUCH LIKE A SMALL TABLET WITH THE BUILT IN STYLUS AND ALL, IT'S SO AMAZING. MY NIGHT CLOCK IS ALWAYS VISABLE FROM THE SIDE, DUE TO THE CURVE. The edge screen is not a gimmick. Makes a lot of things easy and prevents interruptions! Love the fact that I can customize it as well. Outstanding phone, great battery life for it having to power 2 screens. Great design. My only con is that Samsung did away with the alarm voice control feature which was one of my most used features.
If you are a prior note user, all of the things you love are now enhanced. If this is to be your first note....you will never go back. The edge screen takes about 2 days to become accustomed to but once you have picked your favorite apps and set them, you might find you only need icons on one (or none) screen(s). I can get to every app I use regularly with the edge screens. This makes one hand operation super smooth. Camera functions are better and much smoother. Programs now open as "cards" which makes accessing a recent (or even a much older page or app) snap open almost instantly. Multi window functionality is enhanced as well. Every once in a great while there seems to be a very slight delay in opening an app...this may actually be normal speed since everything else operates so much faster a microsecond in delay feels weird. The "window shade" operates a little too fast for me...if I get 3 or more notifications at the same time, pulling down the window shade provides enough time for me to scan them but not enough for me to pick one to open. I have not e,pirimented with enlongating the time frame, I don't even know if it is possible. This is my favorite phone to date. Hands down.
I played with the new Iphone for about four minutes and I was instantly bored. Since purchasing the Note 4, I have left the couch the entire afternoon. There is just so much that this thing can do! I was skeptical about the stylist, however, I find myself using it all the time with ease. I have been a galaxy supporter since the GS4, and this is just taking it the next level! And with my current Verizon plan, I got this thing for a steal on the edge plan with 10GB.
I went from the Note 3 to the Note Edge. Thought the edge screen would be great! Now I'm not so sure. It's ok to quickly check messages, snap a pic, etc. I do like the functionality the edge screen provides, and the fact you can choose what apps to put there. The display on this phone is wonderful. The camera is really good, too! The voice recognition (Google voice) is great. Will even pick you up correctly in a noisy environment. The edge screen SEVERELY interferes with one handed operation if you are right handed. If the meat of your hand even comes close to bumping the edge screen, it pops up. This is a huge problem when typing texts, emails, pretty much anything! You have to stop what you are doing, and precisely click the edge screen off. It will seriously take you 3 tries to send a message. I used to text all the time, use my phone for EVERYTHING, not anymore. I seriously got out my laptop to write this review just because I didn't want to fight this stupid phone! The samsung keyboard is very sticky, even with the touch sensitivity turned to its most sensitive. Sometimes you click a letter and nothing happens. Sometimes you click a letter and it pops up like it's going to type....but nothing happens. Occasionally it works right. When you turn the sensitivity to the most sensitive, it makes scrolling through news feeds extremely difficult, and you end up clicking on things you didn't want to, just trying to scroll. If you turn the sensitivity down to where it is less sensitive, give up trying to type anything. I have installed a different keyboard, and it's not much better. It's a good thing the voice recognition is spot on. This phone will freeze all the time. Even if you close your apps, reboot regularly, etc. It's very disappointing for such an expensive device. I LOVED my note3. Note Edge needs serious work. I think there should be a version for right and left handed people. If the edge screen was on the left side, I don't think it would be such a problem for me. I'm a samsung fan, but this phone is not living up to their brand standard. I can't wait for my next upgrade go get rid of this thing.
