i switched from a droid RAZR to the GS3.i did alot of research in-store and online-comparing various models i was interested in: the LG optimus G,the Sony Experia and even thought about a RAZRMaxx.. But i decided on the SG3.I have a samsung 7 series laptop and a Galaxy tablet 10.1. having those products reinforced my decision to go with the GS3..I really love this phone. it took awhile to get used to a hard home button again but the menu key has Way more options under it than a touch 4 button screen. 1)it is faster than the razr,i have 7(SEVEN) home panels-not 5.. 2)the camera and sw running it are way better than on the razr 3)i love the custom vibrates for notifications and the vibration- it buzzes when you pick it up-having missed something imp. 4) But as a female: it is Not too bulky,feels good in my hand,fits in my front pocket-Not Heavy or cumbersome at all.Its a great feeling phone and I love the screen size,im not straining my eyes to read stuff. 5) the tweaks samsung made to the ICS are nice(er) than on the razr. i Do miss the smart actions,but ive noticed that my battery lasts longer on this and also charges up faster than it did on my razr. 6)so In all-- i LOVE this phone... im glad i switched i love the features,tweaks and responsiveness on this phone. but i do wish samsung would create a better users forum for their products and encourage tips and questions between their consumers;were all in this together and that comradery between the moto forums/users i Do miss!
Camera and video are fantastic. only complaint is the keyboard freezes up and it can be difficult to fill out some forms because the area you are typing doesnt automatically appear above the keyboard. this may be a site compatability problem rather than a phone design problem but i wish it could be fixed on the phone side
I really like the improved camera on this phone. I have been able to take photos of my black Persian cats better with this camera. I have uploaded one of my favorites. The only thing I would like to see is a waterproof version available from Verizon Wireless. This is my second replacement because I get busy and have accidentally dropped it into water. I am older and offer this as a true situation. Sorry, just real.
I have "fat' fingers and this phone is so easy for me to use. Voice recognition is great. The emails with great "help" on insuring I get full use of all source on Galaxy SIII are super. "You Tube" videos help alot. I ordered and rec the written manual and find it easy to read. I usually do not write reviews and do the work for other companies. However, I love this phone. Pictures are clear and with the "burst" option really is so great for my soccer shots. I have owned other phones and then there is Galaxy SIII. I LOVE IT!! At my age (over 50), the strap was helpful and that is not available on the phone. Your case with the screen cover has solved this problem. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with this phone. My younger co-workers now what this phone over other brands. OH! I forgot to mention the new quick dial..GREAT!! My battery life is perfect and I do play alot of games with this phone. When I'm in large buildings, elevators or if my phone is in a desk drawer, "Great reception"! Did I mention "I LOVE MY PHONE!" I cannot be happier!
I LOVE THIS PHONE. I bought this phone in September around my birthday and never had any problems with it. This phone is better than the iPhone 5 and if u have an iPhone you should really switch to Samsung
This smart phone has it all over any version of the iPhone. I purchased on Verizon. The connectivity to home network and Verizon is superior. I can't say enough about this phone. The sound quality when playing music or in general is unbelievable. BUY THIS PHONE
Plan and simple. This is an excellent device. The design is nice. It lightweight, yet doesn't feel like a toy. There were some issues with the GPS initially but with the latest device update the issues disappeared. The galaxy line of phone are some of the best on the market. The battery life is great and gestures make the phone fun to use. I would highly recommend.
So far it's been working well, now some features in Play store doesn't work with this phone for an example the LED for customized contacts. I tried 3 different ones and doesn't work right. This product is very simple to use, finding aps by pushing across the screen. The most fun anyone could have is taking pictures which come out super clear, applying the different applications, colors or fun resizing. Downloading songs and copying from phone to phone is awesome. I would recommend the Samsung to all!
The overall rating of this phone personally would be 4 stars. my only problem with it is the fact it can not be root at update 4.4.2 witch is a huge downside for upcoming developers and code righters that may own this phone also after a week use the camera failed and has been rendered useless ever sence with no hopes of it being fixed.
