Walmart says its "pre-owned" but I couldn't find a scratch anywhere on this phone or any sign of prior use. Looks and feels like new with new original Samsung packaging with cords and charger. I moved up from the Galaxy s3 and this s5 was quite a step up.
I recieved the phone in a Samsung box with all the accessories, packaged just like a brand new phone! The display and camera on this phone are the best I've seen. And the phone has an IR controller that you can use with the Peel Smart Remote app to control your TV, Cablebox, and DVD player. Great value and great phone!
I bought this phone as a replacement for my old S5 and now I'm glad I did. I was going to spend the 180 to 200 bucks again to replace my screen again for a few bucks more I got a better, faster phone with more memory. Thank you.
This is the second phone I purchased. Both phones were like new condition. Have no regrets.
I really like this phone. The changeover from my previous phone was very easy. It says Android 4.4.2, but mine had 5.0. It also says refurb, but this looked new - the phone, accessories, packaging, everything. Very pleased. The dark case is a little non-slip, which makes it easier to handle. Connectivity is good with Bluetooth, wifi and cell network.
Nice phone as shown, great condition
Good value for the dollar
I am really disappointed in the fact that when I received my phone I went thru all of the trouble and time to set it up for me personally and had the number ported from my old phone only to find out that the (soft key Delete or back key) does not work in the portrait mode. It only works in the Landscape mode and I do not text in that mode. I think I would really like the phone but after having this bad experience I am really concerned because if it was not checked properly before sending it out to a customer will I have to go thru this negative experience again or maybe even another bad experience. It is obvious to me the phone was not checked completely or it would not have been shipped to me.??? What is a Certified Pre-Owned anyway? Should it not be ready for use. Just really disappointed as you can guess. Gun shy customer.......
I have been satisfied with straight talk as a service. It is simple and relatively reliable. So I decided to upgrade my phone with a refurbished phone sold by straight talk, a galaxy S5. I am guessin I will at some point be happy with my new phone, however, somewhere in the purchase process I made a mistake and ordered a Verizon sim, so when the phone was delivered I could not activate it on the Straight talk network obviously. Again my mistake not theirs, however, getting it rectified has been a nightmare. Straight talk refers you to Wal-Mart to get support for equipment on their web sight and claims all their items are sold at your local Wal-Mart. All I needed was a straight talk sim and everything would have been fine. After trips to four different Wal-Marts It was obvious they were not prepared to support the product nor did they stock most of the equipment except in expensive packages. The SIM I needed was available in the store with a $55 service plan that I didn't need or online for $.99 plus shipping. So I called straight talk to verify the SIM advertised on Wal-Mart.com was indeed the SIM I needed. After an Hour on the phone with someone who could barely speak english, and numerous periods on hold while she rebooted her computer, I finally got an answer. Whether it is the right answer or not is yet to be seen since it is going to take a week to get the SIM to me. The straight talk service is fine as long as you do the packaged phones and don't have any problems. Venturing outside that box is at the very best problematic, and any problem is a journey of frustration, so be aware.
I purchased a pre-owned S5 assuming it would work as well as a new one, however my 1st one started locking up after 6 weeks. I returned it for replacement and received an empty box the 1st time. I finally got a replacement and this started to lock up within a week. I finally returned for credit.
