[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first soundbar purchase,.....ever, as compared to my 10 year old tvs tinny sounding speakers that I had to contend with for almost over ten years this soundbar sounds awesome comparatively, and now I also get another level of sound because of the because of wireless Bluetooth sub woofer, I can finally hear the bass in my music and the explosions in my movies especially with bass boost option without the hassle of wires it sounds amazing, also the built in center speaker allows me to hear the movies dialogue crystal clear. The HW-B550D is equipped with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies which delivers an immersive 3D audio experience that drops you right into the middle of the movie's action. One of the key features of the HW-B550D is its Adaptive Sound technology. This feature analyzes the content in real-time and optimizes the audio settings for the best sound quality for that media. I didn't use the mounting hardware provided I just placed the soundbar on the legs of my tv stand and that's it, definitely a worthy sound upgrade.

I like that you can customize its sound further using the graphic EQ and presets. That bass.. WOAH! The dedicated subwoofer contributes to excellent bass, which can also be adjusted to your liking. The soundbar can get pretty loud and is great if you're like me and enjoy music at incredibly high volumes. I like that I can stream my music seamlessly via Bluetooth directly to the soundbar. It also fits nicely in my entertainment console and pairs nicely with my Samsung CU7000 SmartTv. If you're looking for a high quality soundbar to enhance stereo content without breaking the bank, the Samsung HW-B550 is IDEAL!

The connectivity was also simple and works seamlessly with my current set up. The rear speakers provide an immersive like sound that dive you deep into the shows you're watching. Whether you're listening to music, podcasts or watching a movie I've found the sound quality to be miles ahead of just your standard stereo television. Also with the ability to customize your Bass and Treble options to your liking is a plus.

Any type of music or TV show or movie the output of the sound is absolutely fantastic. I love that the sound automatically adjusts so it's not really quiet one moment and super loud the next moment. It adjusts automatically which is really cool. The Dolby surround sound delivers rich sound in surround sound mode and the subwoofer has deep bass which enhances every listening experience. The opening of the box and set up took less than 10 minutes total. Also the bluetooth pairing worked flawlessly when setting it up and following the directions. Zero problems so far. I am now a life long fan of the Samsung Soundbar and cannot watch or listen to anything without it. Thank you so much !

The HW-B550D is powerful enough to play and enjoy my freestyle music with more than adequate bass, I am happy to review this unit.

The subwoofer has a great punch, and you are able to add or take away some bass. When watching a movie, the voices are clear and they stand out from the audio tracks and background noises. You will definitely enjoy watching anything from a daily show to artisan films. One of the best features is the ability to connect to your audio source in many ways. The Bluetooth option is a great way to connect your mobile devices and throw a party without having to purchase a dedicated speaker. Overall, the I/O options are what you need to take full advantage of this sound bar. Lastly, the best feature is not having cables all over your house connecting the sound bar to the siubwoofer and rear speakers. Overall, this sound bar has great features, if you are looking for a sound bar for your guest room or mancave, this is a greart option!

The set up was very easy and the subwoofer can be placed anywhere you like because it does not have to be hooked up to the tv, you just plug it in. The Dolby Audio / DTS Virtual:X is the best and the Built-In Center Speaker is awesome it helps save space! The “Voice Enhanced” feature is wonderful you just talk to it and it does what you say.
