So far, I'm very pleased with the product. It takes nice pics, and I'm still discovering all the features. No problems transferring to computer.
Probably the best value for the money. Easy to use, and takes excellent pictures. Even though it has 8.2 MP, I have mine set on 5 MP to make it easier to e-mail pictures, and the results are still great. I only had one problem with it, which may be common in other cameras, and which most people will never run into: at extreme cold temperatures, such as negative 20 Farenheit, the whole circuitry freezes and the camera will not work until the temperature rises. I am using this Samsung camera in the mountains of Afghanistan, and am very happy with it.
I love this camera everything is great. I also purchased a Sandisk 2 GB memory card which is great. Pros: Image Quality, Easy to use, 5x optical zoom, 8MP resolution, and large LCD are all exceptional at this price,there are plenty of options, including full manual control over aperature / shutter / ISO, tweaks to sharpness and contrast, and the expected set of options for JPEG compression and resolution. Using a 2GB card with highest resolution and lowest compression, it estimates it will hold about 400+ pics. Con: Battery life camera just eats thru them (Buy rechargeable batteries!!!)There's no optical viewfinder and you can't take pictures with the LCD off (But no biggie) Overall, I'm very happy with this camera, especially at this price. DON"T LET THE PRICE OF THIS CAMERA FOOL YOU. All of the functions it offers(and there are loads of them)work exactly as they should. If you are looking for an compact digtial camera, and aren't looking to spend loads of money on it. You don't have too. The Samsung S85 is a steal!
