[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Luxe for iPhone, iPad, and USB Type-C devices has been a huge help for me! As you can see in the last photo I used this to transfer over 2700 photos, videos, and documents off of my phone and it took less than 10 minutes total to do it. About this product: *works with Apple and USB Type-C devices like Android *has 2 sides- 1 apple and 1 USB Type-C (Android) *swivel design let's you switch between connection side while keeping them safe. *has a cap for the one connector end that isn't covered by the case *Made in a premium metal design *holds 64GB My thoughts: I love this flash drive! Total game changer for me. I am able to transfer photos, videos, and documents off of my phone in after of minutes. I no longer have to hook my phone up to a computer to transfer these items off my phone and spend hours doing it. I can easily transfer them onto the flash drive, unmount it from my phone and plug it into my laptop to put them on the backup drive. Even uploading to a cloud storage takes longer than this does. So easy to do and completely saves time! I really also like that it can be used with Apple and Android devices. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.
This Drive is awesome and super simple to use. We currently have 3 of them. This one was a Christmas gift for my granddaughter, and she finds it easy to use and all her important pics are safely backed up.
This is a great flash drive especially for travel. I back up regularly to the cloud, but this flash drive is nice for a second backup or for those who don't back up at all. There is both a lightning and a USB-C connector, and if you are someone who takes a lot of photos or videos on your phone, it's the perfect drive to back those up to. The drive is small, contains 256 GB, and is super easy to use. You download the app and off you go. I highly recommend it!
Hello, this is a great product. Only problem I had was that it was so much easier with the downloaded app on the iPhone iOS system than it was with the android phone. On the iOS system it did it for you. All you had to do is follow the step by step guide and it even deleted all the photos for you. Wish this would be the case with android. A bit cconfusing with android.
Pros: quality of the drive is nice, looks and feels great. Pretty easy to use. Got the job done. I had a good amount of photos I wanted to back up on this drive from my iPhone 11 pro, so I purchased this to free up some space. Cons: It was very slow. I had to do it in 3 different sessions and the phone got pretty hot doing the transfer. I think it took more than 3 hours to transfer about 256GB of data.
I generally like SanDisk products, but I have to say this one comes with no guidelines on how to make it work as advertised. Disappointing to say the least. Looks like it's going to take some time to attempt to figure it out. Western Digital ought to provide a source link to a full manual on how to correctly operate this product -- one that is current to this particular model.
This worked perfectly when I first tried it. Then, I got fail after fail. It was exasperating. I did some searching and found some suggested deleting and reinstalling the app. This fixed everything, at least for now. This could be great if the glitches get sorted out.
Works, but it is extremely slow with iPhone. After a few hours backing up iPhone I gave up.
Unfortunately, my (all??) SanDisk iXpand Drive does not work at all. I downloaded the iXpand Drive App on both my new IPhone 15 Pro Max and my old iPhone 7 Plus. After connecting to my phones upon instruction to insert... nothing happened. It keep telling me to insert the Drive... wiggling, making sure I inserted the Drive correctly did not help. Tried to go to "Files" and Photos, hoping to get the Select command... NOPE!! Inserting a piece of wood would have given better results, no doubt. Pure, pure waste of $$ and effort...
